This Eico#526 has a model# plate made of metal. Most of them I have seen are printed on with no tag plate. Also the meter dial is not square. But rounded. My father was using this, I believe in the 50's& 60's and up until the 80's. The AA battery is drained& I don't want to solder in a new one to check it out. It has been stored in a warm dry area. The red lead has a chip in the plastic& is glued. I have included a paper showing the right side values in order top to bottom, ie)1MA, 10MA, etc. You may want the numbers painted back on. I bought this in the late 1970's(or very early"80s) and retired it to attic storage in the 1990's. As far as I know. It still is functional. The transistor battery connector has corroded due to the battery being left in(see photo) but should be easily replaceable and/or repairable. Micronta Multimeters were produced by Tandy Corp, a division of Radio Shack.
