This is a fantastic vintage toy and a special rare find. This toy was tested for function and it is working well. The car is locked into the base and you then crank the handle on the back when you push the button on the base the car shoots off the base and moves forward just like it should. Cosmetically the plastic car has some light marks and scratches on it from being played with lightly but it does not look to have been played with very much or abused. The launcher is made of metal and has some light wear on it as well from being played with but overall is in nice condition as well and the wear is just from normal play wear but no abuse is present. The box is also in very good condition it does have some marks, small tears, and creases in it from items being stacked on it but overall it is in good but far from perfect shape. Vintage IDEAL"c" soprano wood recorder- West Germany in orig(tattered) box. This was from a charity thrift. The original owner's name is written on the very tattered box, but I thought the box was interesting to have and is important for dating- even though it is very very tattered- in poor shape to be sure! For those who didn't pass 20th century history, Germany was split into East and West Germany after World War II until the Berlin wall was torn down in 1989. I think the style of lettering on the box would place this in the 1950's- but that is my guess. The recorder has a nice tone which I thought when I played it and a music teacher friend also tried it out and agreed. I used to play a recorder a bit many years ago but my fingers just don't work comfortably anymore. Repeating here what i wrote in the"note ... moreproblems" area above. The original owner's name is on the box and the box is quite tattered but still nice to have for provenance. The recorder itself has a nice tone- random scratches just below where the barely visible"ideal" is just below the mouthpiece and there are a few bite marks on the tip. Note made in WESTERN Germany- post WWII and before 1990. The recorder breaks down into only two sections- total length when assembled is 13 inches.

Vintage Ideal Robert the Robot. The head will light with battery but I think the bar has to be adjusted that holds battery. I took the bottom off to look inside. There is a piece of cardboard that has come unattached that can be glued back on. I don't know how this works and I don't know what makes it move. The part that held the other arm is broken. I am selling my 1955 Version 2 Robert the Robot by Ideal. He is in good shape and functional. He still speaks the. I am Robert the Robot the mechanical man. Drive me, steer me where ever you can, when you turn the crank on his back at just the right speed. If you crank too slowly or quickly, his voice becomes high pitched and his words indiscernible. I don't know if that's the way he originally functioned or not. He is clean and complete with no broken pieces. He comes with the original box, which is in good condition. The top and bottom flaps close properly and are not torn. Original instructions on paper are not available. I will take and upload more pictures if anyone asks for specific views. Bends& scrapes& where there are scrapes, there is rust. I have taken lots of pictures, so there will be no mistake. The thermometer works good inside my store-meaning it shows about the same temperature as the others in here. I have not tried it outside.
