TWO vintage white - on - white HANKIES embroidered bud linen 9 inch square
Two vintage linen handkerchiefs. Linen fabric I believe. Approx nine inches square and about 3/8 inch hemmed edges. Stitching of the flower and leaves almost looks lke crewl work embroidery- white-on-white. The decorative triangular shape below the flower, has pulled- thread? or cut-work? not sure what the correct term is for that. One corner of one hanky has a couple brownish spots- hopefully the camera picked that up( see left-hand hanky, 9 o'clock) but otherwise they look ok. This glass vase or flower pot is a pretty blue green aqua color. It is square. But as you can see from the photo it almost mimics an architectural detail on the edges. Up for auction is a large square ribbed uranium glass container with no lid. It has the number 3 on the bottom. You can see the bubbles in the glass from the manufacturing process which leads me to believe this is an older container that 1941. It is in excellent condition. Except for the missing lid. The relief areas of the glass are much more pronounced than what is generally found and the metal work is exceptional. Most of what you find in these pieces display simple necks. Lids and handles. This piece displays a magnificently ornate handle, lid, neck and shoulder bib! The beautiful White Opaque glass jar was produced by Pairpoint Manufacturing of New bedford. Mass, it was decorated by the C. F. Monroe Co from Meriden, Conn, it is signed with the Wave Crest ... morebanner trade mark with C.F.M. Co. The jar is set off with(4) panels of hand painted florals in muted pastel tones on stark white with the jar wrapped at top and bottom with a pastel Blue. Blue is a bit deeper than displayed in the images) The piece carries a square stature measuring(5 x 5) inches and standing(8 1/4) inches to the top of the lid handle.11 1/4" with the swing handle in the up position. There are absolutely no chips. Flakes or scratches in the glass! The very ornate metal work(handle. Lid, rim, and shoulder bib) are made of pewter and silverplated.the metal is unsigned. There are no dings, scratches or rough areas in the metal work. The lid and shoulders have a fine scalloped and bead design with florals, while the handle that adorns the jar is in a beaded frame with a scrolled boxed design at its crest. For sale is this Rare Vintage Pin Back Button from Ellicott Square. Buffalo, NY- Thomas Shea Buffet. It measures 3/4" in good condition. Shea, Thomas, Buffalo, son of Daniel and Mary(Griffin) Shea, natives of Ireland, who came to Canada in 1850. Mr. Shea was born in St. Catharine's, Ontario, November 7, 1861, and in 1862 was brought by his parents to Buffalo, where he received a liberal education in the public and parochial schools. He served a five years' apprenticeship in the rolling mills of the Union Iron Works, and in 1882 engaged in the liquor business on his own account. On the completion of the Ellicott Square building in May, 1896, he removed to his present spacious and elegant quarters in that structure, where he has one of the handsomest buffets in the city. vintage depression glass cake stand plate square pedestal footed
Here is a heavy pattern glass footed or pedestalled cake stand. It is very pretty and almost feels like leaded glass. It is square measuring 10 inches across the top where the cake would sit. It is seven inches tall from the table to the platform. The round base is five and one quarter inches in diameter. I found no chips or cracks anywhere. I did notice what looks and feels like a scratch in the underside of the cake platform. It is about 3/4 inch long and not very deep. I hardly noticed it. The center of the cake platform has a hole in it that is one and three quarters inches across and one and one quarter inch deep. Not sure what it was for. It is nice and I thank you for looking.

Antique English 19th Century Walnut Divided Cutlery Tray Square Nails Beautiful& Simple 19th Century Divided Cutlery Tray with Cut Out Handle constructed of walnut and secured with handmade square nails. The walnut wood is smooth and worn with a rich aged patina. The tray has three sections. One long and two smaller on the opposite side divided by a center board incorporating the cut out handle. The wooden tray. A utilitarian staple of the 18th and 19th Century is in very good condition. It has survived it's often damaging purpose with only minor scratches and losses to the finish. The underside of the tray is unfinished walnut which would polish beautifully. The tray measures 15 5/8" wide x 9 7/8" deep x 4 3/8" to the top of the handle. The largest interior section spanning the entire length of the tray measures approximately ... more14 3/4" x 4 1/4" On the opposite side of the center divide are two interior sections.
