I am selling a very nice Sheridan silver plate platter that was a gift for our wedding around 43 years ago. This footed plate measures 15"x 15" It also stands approx. 2" tall and weighs a bit more than 5 lbs. There is some patina to polish up on top and bottom. Particularly on the corners of the top. There are two very small spots on the bottom where the silver plate has erroded. This is a very pretty silver plate tray. I spotted the crazing when I went outside in daylight, otherwise it is hard to see. Check out all photos for best look at the amazing variations and swirls in this pattern. This nice set is complete and in excellent condition and contains the#490 reversible protractor head. Most all the original black paint remains and the metal surfaces are clean and all parts are marked and correct for the set. This set also includes the marking scribe which is usually missing. There are a couple of old owners initials lightly etched on the rule but it really does not distract from the condition much at all but wanted it noted for clarity. All vials are full of fluid on the square and the protractor. This nice set by Starrett will make for a nice addition to any metalworking ... moreshop with no apologies. OLD PARIS HAVILAND PORCELAIN WHITE& GOLD TEAPOT HAVILAND OLD PARIS PORCELAIN TEAPOT Mark on bottom is for Charles Field Haviland Co. This is a large fine antique tea or coffee pot. We place its age at 1880- 1899. Elaborate shape with rope and sycamore leaf motif in the mold. Lots of gold trim. Wear to the gilt is mostly on the handle and spout. You can feel a bit of roughness at one bottom corner of the spout. Not visible in photos. There is a firing flaw. We think that is what it is, on an upper inside corner. Which does not go through to the outside. This teapot holds 5 cups of liquid comfortably. MANY PHOTOGRAPHS BELOW OUR DESCRIPTION Height to top of lid handle is about 7 and 1/4 inches. Width from spout to handle is 8 and 1/2 inches. No cracks. Chips, or repairs. The only flaws are the two we have mentioned. Haviland is known for ... morethe superior quality porcelain clay they used. Their pieces, like this 19th century teapot. Last for many generations. As family heirlooms.
