Please No Returns or Exchanges These our not actual pictures just info on item. JS and JA(1940 to 1954) Back, Up, Next, In 1940. The HFS and HFA meter were replaced by the JS and JA meters. The basic concepts behind the HFS and HFA meters were retained and updated. Initially, these meters were to be produced with chrome steel magnets, but just prior to production, these magnet assemblies were replaced with new Alnico magnets. You are looking at a vintage"Type H Watthour Meter" electrical meter made by the Sangamo Electric Company of Springfield. Illinois. There is a brass label on the front that specifies.30 AMPS, 110/220 volts 60 cycles, 3 wire, Line Load' and bears the serial number 233643. I have no way of testing this meter to see if it works or not, but when first acquired by me, it had a tag attached that reads"Meter Tests 100.1% see close-up photo) The test tag is from"The Twin State Gas& Electric Company" of Brattleboro, Vt. Evdrything about this meter seems original, still sealed and intact. The face of the meter shows four dials(10000, 1000, 100, and 10) beneath the glass on the front. The number 185 is visible on the front face beneath the glass, and again on the round body and back base plate indicating that these are ... moreall the matched, orignal parts.
