This device is marked Moseley Associates Inc Model TLK-2 Tower Light Metering Kit. The unit was an accessory offered for remote control systems manufactured by Moseley. The premier company that makes the Mercedes-Benz of control, microwave and STL equipment for Broadcast stations. Essentially the device takes an AC current flow sample. Transformer isolates that input and then creates a DC analog value for use in remote metering. As a practical matter a wire with AC current flowing through it is passed through the transformer opening(see pictures) and that current flow induces a secondary voltage flow which is then made into a DC analog of the current amplitude. If the current ... morelevel is such that the DC produced is deemed too low for reliable metering. The sample wire is re-entered through the transformer opening creating a step-up effect to increase the DC output.
