Simpson 260 VOM Volt Ohm Multi Meter Milliammeter Series 6 USA Made Tester

here we have a Simpson VOM. I am not an electronics guy so am selling it in untested condition, I put a new battery in it and the needle moves when I touch the probes together in the OHM setting. It is in very nice cosmetic condition, the leads have some burn marks so should be replaced and the foam that hold the battery in is old and not cushy like it should be, original box has wear. SIMPSON VOLT OHM METER, MODEL 260, SERIES 6, w/ CASE, MANUAL, PROBES

Here we have a Simpson Volt Ohm Meter(VOM) complete with case. Operating booklet, and probes. The carry strap seems to be missing, but looks like two screws are present. No way to test, but the meter movement seems to float freely and I see no visible abnormal damage externally. This is a Model 260, series 6. There is minor soiling from expected usage, but looks good overall. The case seems to be leather and is branded"Simpson" on the front. I'll look for the carry handle, but it doesn't appear to be available unless it is under the probes somewhere. Assume it missing. The booklet shows age, but then so do I. Ask questions. No returns. Shipping is for a Large Flat Rate box. If the case makes it take a larger package. You will be charged the fee for the larger box( I charge actual postage, no profit here)

SIMPSON 260 SERIES 3 VOLT OHM MILLIAMMETER METER Vintage

This auction is for one Simpson 260 Series 3 with no cracks. No cracks in housing. The glass is loose but not broken. The battery compartment has some corrosion on the metal battery terminals. It may still work, but I do not have leads any more to test it so it is being sold for parts. It worked before being stored and the batteries corroding the terminals.
