For sale. I have a working Tektronix 468 Digital Storage Oscilloscope. I tested it in several modes and everything seems to work, although I am not an expert and cannot say for sure that every function works as it should. If there is anything you want me to specifically test, just let me know. It comes with oneTektronix P6062B probe and the Instruction Manual. Manual is dated 1984 so I'm guessing that's how old it is. Was stored for a while so it does have some cosmetic scratches and dust in the crevices. The cord is in good shape but does have a small slit in the rubber which I have photoed. This wasn't a problem for me when I plugged it in but mentioning to be thorough. Also, it looks like a plastic collar is missing on one of the front knobs. Note that the shot of the post screen showing all tests passed was taken when using a different power supply than the one sold with the scope. This is to illustrate that the power supply is the problem. This scope is 75% operational. The power supply needs repair. When booted with a working power supply it passes all self-tests(see photos) As you will receive it. The scope will only boot to all LEDs being lit and will never progress past that point(see first photo) To be clear: THIS SCOPE IS NOT IN FULL WORKING CONDITION. The power supply will need to be repaired or replaced. About this scope: It was barely functional ... morewhen I bought it. All three TDS4XX models I'm selling were purchased together in a lot. Calibrated in 2010. Previously. It would boot but lost functionality at each boot and eventually failed completely. I have recapped all aluminum SMT capacitors on the Acq. Acq/Attn, and front panel boards. All boards were cleaned with Simple Green and 99.9% Isopropyl. I also tried to tune up any nearby solder joints. Using a different power supply the scope boots and passes all self-tests. So the re-capping was a success(see photos) Will not turn on from front panel(soft switch) Will turn on from back panel switch(hard switch) Voltage is low coming out of all regulators on Acq and Acq/Attn board. At this point I'm not interested in pursuing this scope's problems any further. Someone with more experience on this model. Or power supply repair, might get it working in an hour or less. During self test, all tests passes except one. I have zero experience with this unit, so it is possible that is do to having nothing connected to it. Another seller that sold this item with calibration done recently and on their eBay listing has the unit shown with the same fault shown as mines. Other than that. Overall good condition. 1 of the 2 internal battery packs has been removed because it is starting to leak acid. There was no internal damage to the scope from the acid. Both battery packs need replaced. Unit works ok on AC power. I tested all the controls and they work fine except horizontal position jumps around while adjusting but does adjust to a position and will stay there. The store function is working. The darker photo of the square wave on the screen is the stored trace after the probes were removed. This is the first time I have tested one of these so I am not familiar with it. At the BUY-IT-NOW($135) price. You get a model 3 cart, later Tek also called it K213. Cart was designed to hold Tektronix 7000series scopes made from the late 1960s to the early 1990s. Carts have a latching mechanism to lock down a 7K scope. But for other scopes, you'd need to add a belt or bungee cord to secure scope when tilted. These carts were sold by Tek for $500/ea new.
