The following has been repaired. The original grey plastic knob has been replaced with a solid brown color aluminum knob(see photo) An integrated circuit(IC-2126[CA3086 NPN transistor array] was bad and not triggering. 4 Channel Digitalizing Oscilloscope - Tektronix TDS 420 Used
Tektronix TDS 420 Scope. 150 Mhz Digital Storage Scope. GPIB and RS232 Outputs. This is a Unit that has a defective DSP processing board. There are replacements available but I do not need another scope. Picture two shows the details of the self test. I believe the DSP board is pulling a 5.1 volt signal down and causing booting hangups. The calibration signal has a tough time keeing the voltage levels constant for hte square wave. I will send a power cord with this. No probes. I tourbleshhot this unit for about five hours and am confident it can be fixed.
