I have pictured them from left to right showing both sides of the box so you can get a view of the resistor. These also came from Texas A&M and were most likely used as instructional tools. I have several of these to list all different sizes and ratings. The boxes measure approximately 6" x 3.5" and 4" tall to the top of the contacts. One box has a bent contact. You can add white LEDs without damaging diesels in most cases, but if you want red at back and white in front then some drilling into bodywork will be needed which will mean permanent damage to body. One of my Deltics in the picture has 2 holes in the front and 2 in the rear to accommodate the lights but it looks great going round layout- lights blazing. The easiest way is to light up the cab which normally doesn't involve any drilling or damage. This is great with DCC as you can see when stopped. Which way it will go when forward power is applied. These LEDs are rated as 3volt so 1K Ohm resistors are supplied for use up to 16volt. LEDs don't get HOT. Great for DCC. Lights can be switched off if required. Great for DC but only come on when power applied. Also depends on which way wired. I haven't put lights on any of my steam locos but if you want to. Then why not. I do enclose simple instructions and a few photos to help with installation. Up for sale 4 genuine Iskra 1W resistors widerstand. Carbon film You can choose the 4 resistors between the following values: 680R 1K5 1.5K 10% 82K 470K 680K 1M2 1.2M 1M5 1.5M 5M6 5.6M The 1.5K resistor is usually used as cathode resistors on the preamp stage in Fender amps, and as grid stopper for the 6L6 in Fender and Gibson amps that uses 6L6 and 6V6, these resistors are'60 production, so are a little larger than the others The 82K resistor is usually used in the phase splitter stage in almost ALL the tube amps that uses the long tailed pair phase splitter configuration(except Hiwatt that use 91K. Anyway I have Iskra 1/2W 91K listed in another auction) The 470K resistors are usually used in Marshall amps as summing resistors for the 2 channels. Since they drop the volume of the 2 channels in way to mix them in the master. The noise ... morein this part of the circuit can become a issue, so is better have them bigger as possible, why the noise figure is less in high wattage resistors. 1.2M can be used instead the 1M in the input circuit, the value of this resistors goes in parallel with the resistence of the pickup coil of the guitar, so using 1,2M instead 1M affects the sound minimally. If you need a pair of 470K I'll give you the pair matched at 2% for free. So the balance beetween the channel is perfect. Remember that in TUBE CIRCUITS is ALWAYS BETTER use BIGGER RESISTORS instead the standard 1/2W. Why doing so you reduce the noise. If you need info on this matter. Go on the AIKEN AMP website and look for the article about the resistor noise. There they talk about use METAL FILM RESISTORS. That infact are less noisy, but they don't mention the fact that the SOUND of the metal film resistors on tube amps SUCKS. So, the thing I want to tell you is that, when using CARBON FILM or CARBON COMPOSITION resistors, if you use a 1W or 2W resistor instead the standard 1/2W, your amplifier will sound BETTER, expecially the MARSHALLS, where you have a very high high gain, and all the noise of the first stage is ampli
