Tray sealer 1518 15x18 Atlas Vac PLC control Pneumatic sealing press This is a model 1518 tray sealer made by Atlas Vac Machine. This machine was used by a pharmaceutical company so it is very clean and shows little usage. This is a double sided model so two operators take turns sliding their shuttle under the heated sealing platen. Sealing pressure is created by a pneumatic cylinder which is controlled by a solenoid valve. Platen temperature and dwell time are easily set on the control panel with a pair of Omron controllers. This machine features an air pressure alarm system that alerts the operator when the pressure is out of range. The unit was powered up and the platen reached the desired setpoint and the press was operated and it worked well. The air pressure alarm system was also tested and it worked the way it should. Overall this ... moreunit is very clean and in excellent condition. We also have another one of these units that does not have a PLC or pressure alarm for less money. A total of 5 are available. The 4 slot rack is cat. 1746-A4 series B. The power supply is cat. 1746-P2 series C. The processor is cat. 1747-L531 series D. Revision 4. The EEPROM module is cat. 1747-Mii series B. The input module is cat. 1746-ID32 series D with terminal breakout(1492-IFM40F) and cable(1492-CABLE010H The analog module is cat. 1746-NIO4V series A. The output module is 1746-OW16 series C. The processor was tested by communicating via the RS-232 port with RSLinx Classic and RSLogix 500. I could not test the DH-485 port as I do not have an adapter to connect it to a computer. A blank program was loaded and used to test all I/O. The same program was ... morewritten to the EEPROM and power cycled. The program was then loaded from the EEPROM with no faults. All inputs and outputs were tested by applying or metering voltages. No issues were found. The door hinges. Input terminal and DIN rail clips are also checked to be in full working order without any cracks. None of the door cards have writing on them. The battery was also replaced with a genuine Allen-Bradley replacement. Returns are only accepted if item is DOA.
