Here is a General Radio model 1650B Impedance Bridge/LCR Meter. As you can see from the photos. It is in excellent, near-mint condition. It is also in excellent operating condition and the calibration is excellent as well. When I bought it back in the 1980's it had seen very little use inasmuch as it was a back-up unit in a large laboratory. As you can see. I've taken very good care of it. Included is the original GR manual which is in excellent condition also. This is a very handy piece of test gear to have if you build or repair tube amplifiers or other equipment. You can measure: Induction from 1uH to 1100 Henries, Capacitance from 1PF to 1100UF, Resistance from 1 mohm to 1.1 Megohms, All with very high accuracy. Two out of 4 times the unit would not complete power up, see the last picture for what is looks like on a failed power up. The fan works ok. When it does power up. Actuating the self test cycles through tests up to#17. No errors are reported and the self tests keeps cycling over and over until the self test button is pressed again. I used some lab trash as the input to 4175A to see if it functions. Measured ~3.9uH Inductor Measured ~ 500 Ohm Resistor Measured ~ 0.1uF Capacitor Had some trouble with the C and L measurement. Probably because of the lab trash input and my lack on knowledge of how this machine works. L and C inputs seem to highly frequency setting dependent. Included is the original operating and service manual with schematics etc. Note that this unit has at least three output options included which is an added value.
