The DC power supply has been upgraded to use two 9v. batteries instead of the original battery pack that was made for the device but is no longer available. The sound is clear, full, and well balanced, great on acoustic instruments and vocals. The actual condition of the mic is stunning. The cable has never been unpacked and the original manual is included. The only flaw is that the foam in the windscreen turned to dust. We gave it a good cleaning but did not replace the foam. Here's something you don't see every day- a Sony AC-340 AC power adapter with a 12V 2.6A DC output circuit. This unit was designed for use in powering Sony SLO-340 Betamax recorders. But its 4-pin connector isn't proprietary. So it can be used with other equipment. When I came across this one it was being used to power the control unit for an older Panasonic TV camera. I know the AC part of it still works just fine. The DC circuit was designed for recharging the big lead acid batteries the early recorders and cameras used, and since I don't have any of that type of equipment I can't vouch for that part of the unit. The unit itself is in reasonably good condition. There's a bit of wear on the case. The handle is gone but can be replaced easily. The cables are in very good condition with no cracks.
