It has a 7.5 volt internal battery pack and a high current resistor network to test Volts Amps and Resistance. It also can test leakage up to one megohm of resistance. This is a vintage General Electric clamp-on a m meter and voltmeter with a rotating scale in working used condition. It comes with its original leather case in somewhat rough shape but serviceable. The leads have been soldered to the base of the meter- don't know if this was original or a modification. But have just tested them and they do function. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment. Calibration certificate from 1941 and signature in lid. The outside of the wooden box has scuff marks form use over the years. Three of four the little feet are still there. The hardware(latch and hinges) are working, and the leather handle is still in place(although it is pretty dry and it may not hold this heavy box well much longer, so be careful handling it with the handle. For auction a Used Western Electric 321-L DC Amp Meter made by Triplett Elec. Instr. Co. Bluffton, Ohio. Measures 0 to 15 DC Amps and is internally shielded. Part number is KS-14507-L24. Comes with a roughly made enclosure that measures 4 5/8" tall x 3 5/8" wide x 2 1/2" deep. Flange on meter measures 3 1/2" OD and mounting hole would need to be 2 3/4" plus for clearance. Also has 2 leads which measure 29" and have an alligator clip on each end. Checked it with a new D battery that read 8 amps which should be about right. Shipping by Priority Mail.
