This is a recent estate find. And I have not cleaned or tampered with it. The bike rolls freely and chain moves well. Original tires are flat. Original paint is mostly intact and should clean up well. Surface rust on paint and chrome, pitting, scuffs, scratches as expected, please look close at pictures. We understand that this bike was built to commemorate Columbia's 110 anniversary by creating a true replica of a 1952 5 star Superb which; was itself made to commemorate Columbia's 75th anniversary. This bicycle is used but in fairly good condition as you can see from the pictures. These bikes were made as true to form as possible. HELLO! This 1937 Columbia Torpedo is a balloon bike. Not the later version which was a middle weight. The bike spent many years hanging up in a barn in northern Vermont. It's all original. ready for you to ride. The ser ial number is B 5105 The only year Columbia used the prefix"B' was 1937! The original paint has held up rather well. But it does show some wear spots and scratches. Please note that the basket is no longer on the bike. Underneath the seat cover is a Troxel seat, which is in nice shape.
