It is one of the HARDEST TO FIND- Extra SMALL SIZE FRACTIONAL NOTES. The 1869 $.50 US NOTE. In VERY GOOD condition in my opinion. But you can judge for yourself to make the final decision with these photos, which you can enlarge. It has the small portrait of Samuel Dexter who served as Secretary of the Treasury and War in 1800-1801. It is green on the reverse and was printed in 1869 just after the US Civil War under President Andrew Johnson. In the years of the US Civil War starting in 1862 there was a critical shortage of coins. It became such a problem that for 14 years the government issued small size notes called FRACTIONAL CURRENCY. This was from the third issue of fractional ... morepaper money ever issued by the USA. This is a very popular type note. The note is intact despite its age. With full corners and slightly worn edges. It has good color contrast with no writing, no ink, and no missing pieces. There are signs of lots of use like folds, wrinkles, and some soiling, many pin holes and some soiling and staining. T his is still a good looking example of old paper money especially for a small size fractional note which are often very worn out when they are found. This is about as old as US money gets. United States Fractional Currency notes were issued y the U.S. Government during and after the U.S. Civil War due to the hoarding and shortage of coins in gold. Silver and copper in denominations of 3. 5, 10, 15, 25 and 50 cents.These notes were in use until 1876 and were redeemable by the U.S. Postal Office at face value in postage stamps. A controversy arose concerning the third issue of the 5 Cent Notes. When Spencer M. Clark. The first superintendent of the National Currency Bureau(now the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing) had his portrait printed on the fractional note. Antique 1920's Dexter Double Wood Barrel Tub Washing Washer Machine Old RARE
This is an Antique Dexter Belt Driven Washing Machine With Double Wooden Tubs From The 1910-1920's Era. I'm not exactly sure of the age of this machine. I found similar ones on a washing machine museum web site that were made by Dexter in 1910& 1917. It appears this machine was belt driven because of the pulley that is mounted on the back of it which means you hooked it up to a gasoline powered engine that drove the pulley and. Through gears, spun the agitators. It looks like one tank was used to wash and the other to rinse as they both have agitators. The wringer appears to be missing unless it didn't have one to begin with. This is a cool old machine and both wooden tubs hold water just fine. They also have valves that can be opened to empty them when you're done washing for the day. You might be able to get this to ... morework with a little oil and determination but I can't imagine using it. It would make a much better display and conversation piece. 2011 DeVinci Dexter 110mm travel all mountain bike with XT and fox compontents
2011 Devinci Dexter size med or 17" in excellent condition with less than 300 miles on it. This was a custom build with shimano deore Xt derailleurs front and rear with shimano hydro brakes front and rear with 160mm rotors. 9 speed shimano shifters and cassette. The fork is a fox RP 24 RLC with 120mm of travel similar to a fox float 120 but has been tuned to match the fox RP 23 shock on the rear. The stem is a syncos 90mm with bontrager carbon bars and a carbon seatpost. The headset is a tapered crane creek 110, with a BB30 bottom bracket with a shimano deore crank and bash guard. The wheels are mavic cross roads with continental race king 2.1 front and tioga xc race rear. This bike climbs like a rocket and with 110mm of travel in the rear and 120mm in the front it will handle whatever you through at it. This is just a good Canadian ... moreperformance machine. I am only selling this bike because I got carried away and have 5 top level bikes and should only have 2. This bike is light and quick with the weight at 26 pounds and easily could be a race or marathon machine. It handles single track like a demon and still climbs like a rocket. It has the new Dave Weigle split pivot design which provides a bike with this much travel and no pedal bob or brake jack the newest in suspension design.
