Extra Nice Square D Size 4 Motor Starter, 8536-SFO-1-S3, CC180 Heaters
In this listing you are bidding on a Size 4. Square D Motor Starter. It is a Class 8536, Type SF0-1-S3, Series A. It has the number 520764-A-EE on the label. Could be a serial number. This starter has a 120vac Coil. It seems the 120 volt control is more desirable so we installed an unused# 31091-400-38 and removed the 480vac coil. This starter is exceptionally clean and looks great. The unit looks better than the pictures show. As with black starters and their glossy surfaces it is hard for me to get pictures that look as good as the starter. There is just too much glare involved. The contacts show very little wear and this may be due to how it was apparently being used. It appears for whatever reason these were used on a light load. The starter had# 8 wire to the 1/0 lugs and was feeding the load right thru the CC180 heaters and was using ... morea separate small Allen Bradley overload block for control. I assume they wanted to use this starter and maybe could not a get a heater small enough for this size 4 to protect the motor. I assume this is why the contacts look as good as the picture shows. The contacts and the arc shields do not look like they have ever had a large load on them. I checked this starter every way I could and it seems to be fine. I removed the(3) CC180 heaters and reinstalled them to be sure they would reset alright and the(2) SX-6 auxiliary contacts checked as they should both with the starter energized and in normal state. The armature looked fine and when energized the starter was very quiet and there was no coil chatter. We still have the 480vac coil if the buyer wants it changed back. If you need a starter of this size. I don’t think you will be disappointed with this unit. Shipping will be determined by the CALCULATOR. With over 2 years of making decals and 6 years in restoring Maytag wringer washers and Maytag engines. Now I have the largest selection of stock in Maytag decals. Maytag Wringer Washer& Gas engine decal in water transfer. Painted with automotive enamel paint. Up for bid is a very nice Maytag Model 72Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial# 1014248 stamped on it so it was made in 1946. This engine has a new coil and works good. The skids you see under my motors go with the engine. I have shipped to Canada and the United Kingdom. I have been restoring these engines for ten years now. Last year I restored and sold 23 Maytag engines on and off ebay. I had taken several pictures of my work so you can ... moresee what wonderful work I do and I am not a fly by night back yard restorer. I also restore Maytag wringer washers and put Maytag motor's on them as well. This engine was completely taken apart and SAND blasted and BEAD blasted clean and painted. I take a lot of pride in these motors as you can see. Lot of guys like to copy my work so I have a trade mark that I can only tell that it is one that I had done. I do not use any junk parts on my motors. As you can see this engine is complete and not missing any parts. It has new rings. Condenser and spark plug and plug wire with new ends. I also honed out the Cylinder jug. This engine has been restored and freshly painted and the fuel tank and top plate was sealed so it will not rust again. I do not paint the flywheels like some people I just polish them up nice. After putting it all back together I ran several tanks of fuel through it and it runs just fine. Then I put on a set of real nice WATER TRANSFER DECAL that I make and sell NOT those NASTY sticky fly by night cheap decals. The coil is good and has hot nice spark. The can has(2) openings on the top. One is a spout and the other is a regular screw cap. There is a swing handle with a wooden grip. I am sure my photos will best further describe what the can looks like. Condition: It’s no secret that this can has seen better days! Is it worthy of the trash? Vintage Sessions shelf mantel clock with Winchester Chime. The clock does keep time. But it does not chime. When it hits the 1/4 hour, it makes a click noise.
