Metaltek Instruments Microscope Shutter/Filter Wheel System For sale- a Metaltek Instruments Microscope Shutter and Filter Wheel System. The system consists of the shutter/filter mechanism. A small control box, and a 5240 Indexer/Drive, which is also labeled a Pacific Scientific 5240. For once I got the entire system which is nice because it allows me to hook it up and test it. If you flip the Shutter switch on the control box to ON the shutter opens. And it does it REALLY fast. If you press one of the filter numbers 1 through 8 the wheel moves to that position REALLY fast(there are no filters fitted I don’t believe) So as far as I can tell it is fully functional and ready for action. That is the extent of my testing and NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days ... moreof receipt you may return it. The shaft is 5/8" dia on the larger O.D. and the last 1-1/4" is stepped down to 15/32" O.D. the shaft is not keyed the pulley was attached using a compression type connection. It comes with the removable mounting bracket and the floating arm. The arm is mounted to the motor shaft on bearings so it does not spin with the shaft and can be removed with a puller.
