For sale is a JDSU Validator NT900 cable tester. This tester will allow you to test/save/print test results for Cat.3. Cat.5, Cat.5e, Cat.6, Audio and Coax cable. The platform is easy to use and the tester comes with a flash memory card. I am missing the original chargers but it does come with two universal chargers. The batteries stopped holding a charge a couple years ago but both units work while plugged in. You can purchase new batteries on ebay. The remote end is also missing a rubber button. It fell off years ago and doesn't affect it from working. If you are in the market for a tester and don't want to shell out the money for a Fluke. I just got laid off from 24 years in the Payphone industry so I'm selling off some of my faithful tools that I'll probably never use again( snif. Snif) I think this combo is the best toner set-up I've ever used. Hell. It shuts itself off when you forget to. The 9 volt batteries seem to last forever. ▪ The transmitter has a high and a low output that is toggled with the round button(Low-Hi-Off) A green LED tells you if your putting out the Hi or the Low tone. ▪ With the slide switch in it's first or highest up position you get 9vdc of'talk battery' I bet you can meter that output to read the internal 9 volt batteries condition) ▪ With the slide switch in the middle position you get a bright Red LED indicating continuity or a short on the pair. ▪ With the slide switch in it's lower position you can then toggle the ... moretone output( Low ▪Hi ▪OFF) The tone output is two volts of A.C. warble tone on Hi and a half a volt on low. ▪ The clip leads are in great shape and feature a angled Bed of Nails insulation piercer. ▪ With the slide switch in the middle position you get a bright Red LED indicating continuity or a short on the pair. ▪ The black nylon pouch is in very good shape with like new Velcro closures.
