Up for sale is a King Tempo in decent condition. There are a few dents over the horn. Which are shown in the pictures. There might be a few more dents, but nothing too major. The horn actually plays pretty well and vary similar to that of a King 2B. The slide has a few minor dents yet is acceptable. This would be a great horn for jazz work. King Tempo II 603 Cornet with Case-Bach 7C
Here is a King Tempo II 603 Cornet in used condition. It has a serial number of 38 257957. The cornet has a few very small dents here and there. Nothing real noticeable. It has some scratches and lacquer wear. The support saddle joint has come loose on the bell by the valve casings. A previous owner tried to JB weld it. That will need to be cleaned off and re-soldered. The horn plays very well. The valves move free, but will need lubed. All of the slides work good. It comes with a Vincent Back 7C mouthpiece and a lyre. The case is in fairly good condition, it has a cut in the covering near the handle. This is a sugar bowl from the California Tempo Poppytrail stoneware by Metlox made in 1960. While the sugar bowl itself is not marked. The plates from this set were and they note that this stoneware is dishwasher safe. It is"hand-decorated" and"Made in the U.S.A. The sugar bowl is brown with a yellow lid. The stoneware was replaced by melamine when my parents moved to the retirement community as my mother was losing her eyesight and breakables were not good for her to handle. There is a small chip in the upper rim of the sugar bowl, shown in photo 2. While I don't know if this counts as light wear, the prices on this piece run $18 to $28 plus shipping on the Internet. King Tempo Vintage Clarinet - Many New Pads - Ready to Play
King Tempo Vintage Clarinet- Ready to Use Serial Number 600XXX This vintage King clarinet is well used but ready to go with a nice Woodwind Company Vito II mouthpiece with a couple of minor teeth marks. Used ligature, metal mouthpiece cap, and new tube of cork grease as well as a case in poor condition. Pads have been replaced as necessary(more than half were just replaced) and one of the tenon corks was just replaced as well. The keys show wear but are in good condition and work as they should. Thumb rest is a little loose. The body shows the usual vintage signs of wear with scratches, faded logos, etc. but this clarinet is ready to go. The end of the lower joint that fits into the bell has a small piece that is broken off. However, the joint fits good into the bell, and there shouldn't be any issue with fit or playability. Does not ... moreimpede the function of the cork. The hard case exterior is in decent worn shape. But one latch is missing and 3 of the 4 feet pads on the bottom are missing as well. Case interior protects as it should but it is worn and pulls away from the case at places. A new basic black case is available for an additional $20 or a good used case is also available for $7 more. Basic cleaning of the instrument and mouthpiece has been done. You can spend a lot of money to buy or rent a new instrument, but here you get a decent King instrument that will serve your student well for a whole lot less. King Tempo Baritone Saxophone with Original Case (no mouthpiece)
Please find an almost mint condition King Tempo low Bb Bari sax with original case. No mouthpiece is included. Serial# 59629817. This instrument is in great condition recently refurbished by Harrison Music in Richmond. Virginia. The King Tempo was a stensil horn made by Julius Keilworth in Germany for King. The horn is virtually the same as the Couf Superba II. Original lacquer is about 95% great. The horn has been completely repadded and recorked. That being said, you may still want to have it tweeked to fit your personal taste. We do all the repair work for Univ. of Richmond, VCU, Longwood and about 40 other schools, but personal tastes are what they are. This was sold before on Ebay and the buyer was hoping for a MK6 horn at a King Tempo price. He loved the horn in direct communication with me but then lied to Ebay about it so I took it ... moreback. For an intermediate/low pro horn, it is very comfortable and plays well but if you're not sure about it come to our store and play it or at least ask a lot of questions- I want you to get what you think your getting! The case is in good condition with some scuffs here and there, thoroughly cleaned and sanitized no odors to worry about. Thanks for looking.
