I don't have the knowledge or equipment to fully test this unit, the extent of my testing is listed below.please read carefully and understand that this unit is SOLD AS IS! Then I pushed"Fast Scan" the screen did some measuring or work of some kind and said"Laser On" again, I have no knowledge of this unit's working features so this is all way over my head) I realized later that when it said"Laser On" there was a cap on the laser head itself, so I didn't see whether or not an actual laser was coming out. Next I pushed the"Help" button which showed help topics. There was an option for"print hard copy" I tried to push that but then the unit seemed to freeze up, it wouldn't let me exit out or do anything. I powered the unit off and on again, and again I get the"Instrument Fault" so I powered it off and on again.and again the fault. This came ... morein with a repair ticket on it that said"Screen comes on but can't get a trace. I did push the ON button, and the screen did light up momentarily and then was dark(pics 10-11) Looks to be in nice shape cosmetically but needs repair or can be used for parts. There is velcro on the sides of the unit, and has a scratch on the top back that isn't too noticeable. Each time I hit one of the film buttons, it makes a beep sound, but nothing comes up on the screen. Has a Serial jack a 12-18V 300mA power input jack, an RJ45 female jack, and a CONN connection on the top of unit. Says on grey sticker that it was repaired on 10/2012. Decent looking unit that might be easy to fix or used for spare parts. Thanks for your time. Though we like to underrate the description of the item.
