This splicer is in Good cosmetic condition with a few minor(normal) blemishes from use. There is one very small crack on the'top' electrode cover. But it does not affect operation. There is also a very fine scratch on the screen we almost didn't see. The worst is the right-side hinge on the heater, which is broken but stays in place if you are careful. Notes: This splicer is in Good working condition. We lack a proper fiber cleaver. But even with rough ends on our fibers the machine was able to make a joint, then analyze and tell us how bad the joint was. This unit passes LED. Motor, Dust and Stuff checks. We were able to get it to run an Arc Calibration test but we did not let it complete because we had the wrong fiber type. All the motors and the vision system work. It was able to auto-detect fiber type and measure cleave angles. The sensors give appropriate environmental data. The screen is clear and bright. The heater heats and blows hot air. No other testing was done. No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown. I have an Fujikura Arc Fusion Splicer Hard Case for sale. Both keys are included and the locks work excellent. I couldn't imagine having a super expensive Fujikura without a hard case to protect and lock it. The label says it had a FSM-11S in it but I believe it fits many other models. Although I'm not 100% sure if it does. You probably know more than me if you're reading this. The foam inside is in pretty good condition. It only has two flaws inside and I took pictures to show what they are. They aren't anything major or anything that will affect the protection. One spot there is a tiny dent in the upper foam and then on the left side there is a scratch in the foam. Like I said both flaws are pictured. If you have any other questions. I'd consider splitting up this auction- for example. If someone is only interested in the FSU925 splicer, etc- please contact me if that's the case and I'll respond ASAP. Selling for parts only: 3 non-functioning/partially-functioning fusion splicers and one non-functioning fiber cleaver. All 4 pieces of equipment have various issues and obvious signs of use/wear. I'm not sure which parts may be salvage-able other than possibly some of the optics, motors, video/motherboards and various hardware: quantity 1) Ericsson FSU 925 fusion splicer- powers up. Shows splice count under 19k, but cannot view fibers on the display. Right side motor assembly makes a continuous clicking noise- possibly a defective home position sensor, mechanical assembly or other control circuit. Damaged front plastic cover panel, see photograph showing ... more2 damaged holes/missing screws, also several missing screws on the keypad housings. NOTE: high-voltage insulated wire is broken inside the splicer(see photograph) So I'm removing the fuses as a safety precaution(fuses will be included with shipment) The transformer assembly(including its high voltage insulated red wire) must be repaired/replaced before attempting to discharge an arc. quantity 2) Ericsson FSU 905 fusion splicers. Both power up but one of them was starting to give off a subtle odor like burnt electronics(no visible smoke, though) after a few minutes, so I powered it down. Neither unit displays any information on the screen, but the backlit part of the displays work. No power supplies. Fujikura FSM-30S Arc Fusion splicer Intermitent Working Parts or Repair
You are looking at a Fujikura FSM-30S Arc Fusion Splicer With Case. Cleaver, and misc odds and ends. We have used this for a about 2 years and have upgraded to a new unit. Great for our first splicer we ever bought. Now it sometimes has problems with the y overrun and dirty fiber or bad cleave. We havent had any service on the machine since we have had it. It does work and has a picture of a burn that I did so you could see it work. Typically when it works it takes about 1 of every 7 tries it will burn. When it burns typical loss is 0.0 to.07 db unless a bubble or bad cleave which can happen. This is a core fusion splicer and with that accuracy db loss is low. There is no return on the item as you can use it as is or use it for parts. The Pads are also worn out on the unit. It needs TLC but it will burn just not consistent enough for our ... morecrew. Also comes with a Sumitomo FC-6S Cleaver. There is also some splice sleeves included and a couple of prep wipes. Happy bidding ask any questions. Again no returns on unit.
