Fluke DSP-4000 Cable Tester Complete Set Free Shipping 49 States
Here is a complete Fluke DSP-4000 cable tester setup in good used condition except for a serious issue. Please read everything. One day the remote unit would no longer start up at all. After consulting with a Fluke tech he said the guts are the same between the two units(except for the firmware) and you can swap boards to make a diagnosis. By this method I found the remote's digital board was bad. Through an incredible amount of effort I obtained a brand-new digital board and installed it. Now both units power up successfully and the main unit sees the remote unit through the cal module. Both units have the latest firmware loaded. The remaining problem is that when you connect the units with the cal module and run the self-test it doesn't complete. It said"Digital Pass" and soon after that the remote unit started beeping ... moreand its LEDs started flashing and then communication between the units was lost until power was cycled. I moved the new digital board to the main unit and repeated the self test, now it just reports"internal error 108" which my Fluke contact said is an internal calibration error due to the digital board being replaced. The new digital board is now back in the remote. Fluke no longer accepts these testers for repair or calibration and I guess I am just done fooling with this. I will include the original digital board, maybe you can resurrect it? It has no visible damage. All of the circuit boards appear normal, nothing cracked, missing, etc. and no corrosion anywhere. Maybe you have more experience with these or more capability than I have? I hope so and I wish you good luck. At this point the main unit seems to be functioning normally for things not requiring the remote to be connected on the other end. It can measure cable length. All monitor functions, impedance, TDX, TDR, generate a tone and all coaxial tests, see chart. The remote in its present state does work for wire mapping. The photos show everything that is included with this. Everything listed in the manual
