Here is a vintage Rycom Cable Fault Locator. It is model#2785. It appears to be complete as it comes with the transmitter. Receiver. Probe cord, a patch cord, ground stake and headset. It is listed for parts. Only because I cannot test the transmitter. I have no idea what batteries it uses. The receiver has been tested with c batteries and works. I plugged in the headset and probe wire and they also work. The battery test meter on the receiver indicates both battery strength and cable fault when probes are touched together. I believe the transmitter would work with the intended batteries. But cannot guarantee it. I took the transmitter apart to check the electronics to see the condition and they appear to be in good condition. The probe cable has been coiled so long that the plastic cracks when it is moved. You should be able to tape it for ... moreuse. The housing is need of new paint on the exterior and the interior needs new padding. The old foam has mostly disintegrated. The unit's instructions are still good shape and can be easily read. The meter faces are not cracked and in good shape. It latches closed nice and tight and has a rubber gasket on 3 edges of the bottom casing. 2 screws on the bottom of the case snapped off when I was trying to check the transmitter unit for condition.
