Ship, boiler room etc. The glass thermometer looks like it was formed in an"L" shape and broken off at the bottom. Black figures and graduations. The front glass is broken and thermometer is missing or broken as well. It looks like the whole unit will come apart for repair or restoration if wanted. This thermometer ranges from 20 to 230 degrees Fahrenheit. It appears to be all brass. The condition is very good. The approximate size is 11" long and 2 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" Deep. Weighs a bit under 3.25 lbs. A perfect addition to your old train, ship or thermometer collection.

ESAL 30" Banjo Clock Weather Thermometer w/ Wood Case, Brass Inlays Acorn Finial
This is one of the most gorgeous pieces of this type that I've seen! It has an acorn finial on the top. Brass inlays down the face. The satin-finish wood case is made in India. I am not sure what kind of wood it is- I had originally thought it was a natural finish cherry wood but I can't be sure. The dials are a hygrometer on top, fully functional battery-operated clock in the center(this is the widest point, just under 8" and a celcius thermometer on the bottom. It has no cracks or chips. A very unique and beautiful piece!

Up for auction is a vintage Fee and Stemwedel Airguide thermometer. Barometer, hydrometer made of solid mahogany. It is in very good condition with average wear from age. The wood does have some scratches but wood and glass are free of any chips, cracks, or breaks. The brass has an aged patina also. The barometer has a bakelite cover on back with an adjustment screw. It measures approximately 20 3/4" in total length(including fennel) and 6 1/2" wide. The"Genuine Solid Mahogany" label on back reads, Genuine Mahogany Grows Only In West Indies, Tropical America, and West Coast Africa" This is an earlier Airguide that pre-dates the company name change to Airguide Instrument Co. in 1956. From Wikipedia: Airguide Instrument Co. was founded in 1930 by Albert L. Stemwedel and Richard Fee in Chicago, IL. Their first products ... morewere battery maintainers for home radios(at that time many homes were still not connected to the power grid) and hygrometers. 19th Century European GRAND TOUR Brass Glass THERMOMETER Obelisk WORKS NR
Offered is a Victorian'Grand Tour' Brass Obelisk Thermometer in working condition- dating(I believe) from the latter half of the 19th Century.perhaps earlier. Set upon three feet that are adorned with figural birds and a Crowned Monarch. Standing 10 inches tall and spanning 4 1/2 inches between each of the 3 legs- condition is excellent with darkened brass patina. The thermometer is in good working order(accurate and without damage. The scale on the left graduates from-10 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.the scale to the right of the thermometer designates"Blood Heat" as the highest temperature(about 98 degrees) Sum Heat" is next followed by"Tempe Rate" and"Freezing" I was unable to identify the marks below.
