This auction item is an old wind-up seven-day mechanical recorder. The SERVIS RECORDER, made by the Service Recorder Company of Cleveland. This heavy recorder is about seven inches in diameter and is hinged, with three wall- or table-mount screw holes in its bottom half. The bottom half holds the sensor and the mechanism for the pen that marks the measured parameter, which might be temperature or humidity, charting the result on a replaceable round paper chart held in the upper half. A clock-like mechanism under the chart rotates the chart. The used chart in the recorder has a 7-day capability. The clock mechanism operates; I can't test the recorder. Very well kept machine with solid arm movement when powered up. It has a little hand written sticker on it that says 3/19/12 so I think it was calibrated then or that's when someone thought calibration was due, either way it has only been a couple years and I will pad it good when I ship it. 115 Volts, 60 Hz, single phase. The window on the front is light plexiglass and was taped on because it came unglued. This is really common with the chart recorders I come across. The window can be taped or re-glued easily, clearly it doesn't affect functionality.

The box includes the Wahl 731-12 unit. A box of extra unused 24-hour charts, and a key. The unit appears to be in excellent shape, although I have no idea how to use this so I can't verify anything. Note that in the photo of the unit the card inside is curled up. The rest of the cards are all flat as you can see in the other photos. If you have questions, please let me know and I'll try to answer them. The unit is being sold as-is.
