Hay Probe Core Sampler
This is a hay probe used to take proper samples of bailed hay to have analyzed for its nutritional content etc. Instructions are inlcuded with the probe and it is simple to use. Attache the end of the probe to an electric drill and drill into the end of the bail so the probe is cutting across the blades of the hay. The probe has a serated cutting surface on the business end which cuts and mixes the hay. Once you drill all the way into the bail. Pull the probe out discontect from the drill and push the sample into a poly bag with the included pusher dowel. We bought this when we had a horse with equine metabolic syndrome and we had to test every lot of hay for content so we knew what he was really eating.
