The GPIB-232CT-A has full GPIB controller capability. Its ability to control GPIB systems is similar to that of National Instruments plug-in controller boards. The GPIB-232CV is only a protocol converter. It translates GPIB protocol to serial and vice-versa. This box has no GPIB controller functionality. Although it does have a C mode. All normalizations were recently run and passed the crt is clear and bright(sorry if the camera doesn't do justice) these normalizations are internal tests which were recently run and is in very good shape. I apologize for some of the pics from my camera this unit took me quite an effort and parts to repair but I felt the unit was worth it.
