This auction is for a Univox SR-55 vintage analog drum machine in great cosmetic and fully working condition. This model is also known as the Korg Mini Pops 3. Cosmetically. There really aren't any faults except for some minor oxidization on the metal pieces that secure the carrying handle. Please see the pictures for details. This particular unit is in the best shape of any SR-55 I've ever seen, with no discernible scratches on the case. It looks nearly brand new. Functionally. The knobs all work well(with no scratchiness) and the buttons and switches are immediately responsive. The analog drum sounds are very cool and the outputs are clean and loud. The PAiA FatMan is unlike other analog synths because it is based around one main concept- you build it yourself(DIY) So in addition to offering quite nice analog sounds. It gives you a chance to delve into synthesizer construction, and this can really help you learn more about how these things work. It can be built in about a day. Although it was first released in 1992, it is a true analog instrument and is still currently available and manufactured. It is a small monophonic analog synth with two oscillators. 18 rotary knobs, 3 switches and NO keyboard. There is a low-pass resonant A(S)R filter, an ADSR VCA and portamento. The kit comes with most of the components and detailed instructions so that anyone with a little soldering experience could put one together successfully. There are two versions. A rack-mount or a desktop module. All of the components and specifications are the same for both. It's capable of producing some pretty quirky analog sounds and basslines but the number of different sounds you will get out of this synthesizer is limited. There is MIDI on-board, albeit very simple and basic. The FatMan uses control voltages to operate so the MIDI is really a MIDI-to-CV converter. However, it does not transmit MIDI info from it's knobs, though it's CV outputs can be used to control other old analog gear you may have around. Still this is one basic synth, with no effects, no arpeggiator or sequencer and no patch memory storage. But the DIY aspect is novel and the finished product is well-worth the effort! Although it has a few quirks: I replaced the orginal plastic encoder with a metal one(much more durable) however. I suppose the wiring in the metal encoder was opposite the orginal, so now the encoder(the one clear knob) scrolls though the parameters/ presets backwards! This is a little weird at first, but the screen shows you exactly what you are changing so you get used to it very quickly. All the knobs and pitch wheels have silver paint on the tops to match the silver body. This doesn't affect performance in any way. A few of the push buttons have a problem with double triggering or not triggering sometimes. All of them do work though. This synthesizer is really really cool. With too many features to list, but I will go though some ... moreof my favorites quickly: Loopable Filter& Amp Envelopes! make either sweet evolving pads or nice repeating rhythmic sounds 4 part multitimbral. Split or layered Ample memory. I think about 470 re-writeable presets 2 Mod completely assignable mod wheels! 12 slot Modulation Matrix with ample sources and destinations 2 LFOs syncable to the Tempo in nearly any division and S&H! Built in effects! 4 outputs, Performance Memory, WOW~, Cosmetically there is some tape residue here and there and lots of little scratches. But nothing major. Vintage Ensoniq Mirage sampler keyboard in nice condition. Looks and works great. Just has a few marks here and there and a small chip on the middle E key. But still looks nice overall. Comes with an 8 disk sample library with instruments to start playing right away. Great way to get that 8 bit sound on this 61 key sampler. Also a huge plus. Comes with analog filters for sweet sound shaping. Can get close to that ringing SP 1200 sound with this and a nice complement to any clean software synth for a low price. The Mirage was an 8-bit featuring a 61 key velocity-sensitive keyboard. A two-digit LED display, extensive implementation. Analog filters, a 333-note. It had 128kB of RAM and a maximum sample rate of 32 kHz and up to 6.5 seconds sample-time at 10 kHz. It included a built-in 3.5 inch SS/DD floppy drive. Vintage analog DOD performer series 545 auto wah filter
Vintage American made Wah Filter. Built like a tank. Runs on 2 9 volt batteries or a 1/4 inch 18 or 20 volt adapter(i like it better at 18) Believe it or not it's not hard to run power to this thing with an adapter. Any music store should carry the 1/8th power tip for a standard barrel style adapter(like the Boss PSA 120) and a 1/8 to 1/4 mono adapter. With those two things you can plug any 18 volt poet source into this. Which is what I've sone with it. The pedal is in decent shape for being old enough to drink. And still works perfectly. I opened it up, cleaned it(just because i like to keep them clean) It IS missing the battery for(like every DOD pedal made in the 80s) and 2 of the bottom plate screws(available at any hardware store) Now for the effect itself. This is a Subtle way filter. meaning if you are looking for crazy whiny ... moreway sounds. This is NOT your pedal. but if you are looking for a touch responsive, subtle way to add the perfect amount of funk to your guitar tone, you are in the right place. I prefer this effect on clean tone, but have added it to searing solo tones with lots of gain and it really comes to life. Depending on how you dial it in. It may only respond to Higher notes, which is great if you are chugging away on a riff and want to throw in a quick wah soaked flourish for flavor. Why am i selling it you ask?
