KEPCO BOP 100-1M Bipolar Variable DC Power Supply 4-Quadrant, American made!
This is a neat piece of equipment that I am selling. It is a 4 quadrant supply. Meaning it can sink and source current with a positive or negative output. It can act as a voltage or current source. Note that I have photos showing it operating in all four quadrants. Current/voltage can be programmed through 10 turn potentiometers on the front or as +-10V signals on the front. It has a bandwidth of about 1-2KHz(the oscilloscope photo shows it outputting a 100V 1KHz sinusoid) When I received this device it was missing the"PC-15" programming connector. This is a little jumper that goes on the back of the device that enables the front panel. I have constructed one(as can be seen in the photos) that works just as well as the original. You can buy a factory one from Kepco for about $100. I don't think it's worth it, personally, ... moresince the jumper I made(for about $2) works just as well. If you would like, I can also include for free another card edge connector in case you want to try programming the device from the back panel. or you can buy the PC-12 from Kepco for like $75- your choice! This front of this device looks pretty good and clean. A couple scuffs. But nothing bad. The meters are almost perfectly clear, except for a smudge on the voltage that does not effect use at all(barely worth mentioning) The top and bottom of the device show some signs of rust, as can be seen in the photos. Obviously, this does not effect functionality in any way whatsoever. So. As far as I can tell this device is 100% operational, and I will guarantee that for the first 15 days of ownership. If there are any specific tests you would like me to run on this device please let me know- I have a fairly complete lab and am happy to verify functionality for you. But as you can see I've already been pretty thorough in my testing of this device. Note that the only thing included will be the Kepco BOP 100-1M(as well as the fake PC-15 jumper I made) I have other pieces of test equipment in the photos that will NOT be included.

Here is an item i got from a naval auction some years ago and i used it a short time before it went into the closet. It is an old working KNIGHT VARIABLE D.C. POWER SUPPLY. This power supply shows made in U.S.A. and it does not put out the voltage. Or current it is rated at. This power supply is rated at 0-to-40 VDC adjustable and 0-to-1.5 amps adjustable on output. This power supply, as seen, has two separate meters on the front panel for checking voltage and current output adjustments. There are two sets of screw terminals on the back for testing and the normal red and black terminals on the lower right front panel. The terminals on the front operate when toggle switch is in the up position. This power supply has separate voltage and current level controls as shown in picture. The photos show an output of 143V into a 500-ohm load. There is no change in voltage when the load is removed. Or when the AC is varied, so this unit is regulating. The problem is that the voltage cannot be adjusted above 143V. Included in this auction is an original service manual, in which are instructions for troubleshooting low voltage. I inspected the inside of the unit carefully and did not find, or smell, any burned or overheated components. Sold as is.

Unit functions perfectly and was recently calibrated internally to verified voltage and current using a Fluke Multimeter. Last time it was NIST calibrated was in 99- but these power supplies are 100% reliable constant duty always on supplies. No fans to go bad but instead massive aluminum heat fins in the back. This is not your modern high frequency switching power supply. It a solid old skool power supply originally designed for audio and especially electron tube(vacuum tube) circuit design testing.
