I tested this unit by: Powering it up. 117 volts input, and using a handheld name-brand meter to measure the output I was able to measure 1.2 KV dc at approximately 20 percent of the output. I was limited due to the meter. I would recommend replacing or repairing the line cord(the insulation is worn close to the chassis) Thank You.

This is a Fluke 408B high-voltage power supply. It is in excellent condition. The inside of the case is very clean. Nearly dust-free-important for good heat dissipation-indicating that it has been treated well and that the components, all things considered, are in good condition. The indicates that this power supply can source up to 20 mA. Which is a lot for a high-voltage supply. It has extremely low ripple(less than 1 mV RMS) and high stability(+/ 0.005% per hour after warm-up) It's a milspec-rated instrument, so is not delicate. As you can see from the photos. The power supply reaches both voltage limits and is accurate for intermediate voltages, at least to the limit of my meter(+/1000 volts) At low voltages, the output is ~0.4 volts too high. If that's a problem, it can be calibrated out; the pot is accessible without opening ... morethe case. I will include the appropriate cable connector. A few feet of hv coax cable, and a manual for the Fluke 410B, which is the +/10kV version of the 408B. I saw that someone is selling the 408B manual on this site, if that's of interest. This auction is for a custom high voltage power supply made internally by a US company. It utilizes a high frequency driver circuit with voltage multipliers to achieve the 0-40KVDC in such a small size. It is well metered for both the high voltage and current. It should be capable of several milliamps of current. The internal components are very high quality. It operates from a 110/120 VAC 60 Hz line and has been tested only to power up. This power supply can be set to ramp up and down in most any prescribed fashion based on the dial settings. It can also provide both positive and negative outputs. The metered side can be removed from the case for remote operation. The high voltage output is on the back of the case.
