Setting Up & Operating John Deere AA-280 Two Row Cultivators For Model A Tractor
Please read this description and look at pictures carefully in order to make a solid decision as to if you are interested and then bid. Bid, bid. Offered is a piece of historical agricultural ephemera from the past. This magnificent booklet is titled"DIRECTIONS FOR SETTING UP AND OPERATING- JOHN DEERE AA-280 SERIES TWO-ROW TRACTOR CULTIVATORE FOR MODEL"A" TRACTORS. Serial Numbers AA-281. AA-282, AA-283, AA-284, AA-286, AA-288 as shown on the front cover in the first picture. The bottom of the front cover reads: FACTORY ADDRESS: JOHN DEERE PLOW WORKS of Deere& Co. Moline, Illinois, U. S. A. In the bottom left corner of the cover is printed: DIR. 321- Plow Works- 12-38, representing December 1938) with a small circle that has inside of it"Printed In U. S. A. The second picture is of page 5. The third picture is of page ... more9, and the last picture is of the back cover. There are many other great drawings and charts/table on the other pages of this booklet. The paper of this booklet is rather age yellowed(as should be expected) but the drawings and the text is still very legible and easy to read. I find no writing. Or marks on the booklet. There are some darker spots on the front and back covers which are likely the result of use but there are no real heavy grease smudges visible. The pages are bound with two metal staples which are showing age and are slightly rusted due to humidity. All pages are tight and intact. The front and back covers have a separation upward from the bottom of the spine edge about 1 1/2 inches and at that point there is a very small piece which has been torn off. The edges and corners show some very slight wear and bumping. The entire booklet(all pages) have two heavy vertical creases as though the booklet was folder like a tri-fold. And stuffed in a pocket while being used. I suggest that the overall condition of this piece is very, very nice and amazingly has few faults considering its age. It also was new front rims. Back rims are in great shape. The steering is very tight with no play. The sheet metal is in good shape on it. The tractor is gas. The tractor dont not leaks any thing. Clutch is strong, breaks work good. All the grears work good in the tractor. Transmission is tight, Hydraulics work perfect. Dont miss out on a good little tractor. Farmall International 140 tractor IH with full set of IH cultivators runs good
I am selling an International 140 gas tractor. With S#1402 J tag on it. I bought this tractor last fall at a sale to resell, What a neat little tractor! it has good rims on the back of it, the tires are weather cracked but both are still up and holding air! the hydraulics work on it! the sheet metal is complete and in excellent condition! the original IH tool box is under the seat on it! it has 3 IH lights on it! the back one works and even the red dot in the light turns on! The grill is in great shape! the steering wheel is old used and cracked out! the muffler is bent, NOT The manifold! just the muffler! What you see is what you get! as far as I can tell it is an ORIGINAL complete tractor! it has a full set of cultivators, front and rear shown on the tractor! The tractor is running in the photos! starts and runs great! pto works and shuts ... moreoff, the engine oil is clean! the oil pressure is good! the sheet metal is complete and all there. it has its original rock shaft arms on it and the original shaft with original spring is also on it. it has a homemade strep on it to get on and off of the tractor. the precleaner topper cap is dented in! the foot rest bar is still on the platform. the tank and hood are in EXCELLENT condition! tractor drives good and hits all of its gears just fine, no funny noises I dont see any other visible repairs on it. it has a 4 cycl gas motor in it. You are bidding on an operating instructions and repair parts illustrations Allis- Chalmers"CA" 2- row cultivators booklet. I do not see a year in it. Looks to be from the 1950's. This booklet measures about 10 3/4th by about 8 1/4 The binding is tight, the pages are yellowed a bit, there are some smudges, there is a slight crease down the middle from being folded vertically, and also a small puncture mark that goes from the back page through to the front page. I am selling the VERY VERY Early 1949 Allis Chalmers G tractor Serial#G10993 which according to my book makes it the 32nd tractor made that year! it has 3 gears forward and 1 reverse. It has a REAL nice set of original AC cultivators on it that are complete with hand lift and tool bar, its all shown that is running in the photos! I have had this tractor in my personal collection for 10 years! what a neat tractor! I bought it at a consignment sale years ago!the oil pressure is Excellent! it has a hitch and drawbar on the back of it! the metal is EXCELLENT! it has the hand crank also included with it, the front tires are a matched set of 3 rib tires, the rears are Good Year 6-30 2ply tires, all 4 are up and holding air.
