Elk Forest Farms. Inc. has a used John Deere 440 crawler loader backhoe up for auction. I am unsure of the exact year of the machine. The machine is powered by a 2-cylinder GM 2-cycle diesel engine. The engine starts with starting fluid and runs strong. The transmission has 4 speeds forward and one speed reverve. All gears seem to work well as does the engine clutch. The machine steers both ways. The backhoe has some patching and welding done to it as the pictures show. We sandblasted it and repainted it with factory JD enamels. We put a brand new seat on it. The machine is an older machine however it is slow and steady. The backhoe attachment can be removed from the machine quite easily and reinstalled when needed. Elk Forest Farms. Inc. has a used Caterpillar D3B crawler dozer up for sale. The machine is powered by a 4-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engine. The engine starts easy and runs strong. The oil pressure needle stays high in the green area of the guage which is good. The transmisssion is a powershift with 3 speeds forward and 3 speeds reverse. All gears work well and have no signs of slipping or hesitations. Both foot steering pedals work well both ways. I believe the left side clutch is a little sticky due to not being used because you have to press a little harder on that side for the machine to steer. The right side steering clutch pedal you just touch it and it steers. The machine has an open ROPS. This machine came from a local paving contractor that updated his equipment. Oliver OC46 crawler loader OC OC-46 NO RESERVE.
For sale with no reserve is an Oliver OC46. My dad bought this well over 5 years ago from an old woman who's husband died. She said he bought it new and it ran. But I have no idea when the last time it ran. We have done nothing with it. It was in a barn when we bought it and it's in a barn now, so it has not seen the weather. The engine turns over by hand and has always had a tin can over the exhaust to keep bees out. The fuel line has been removed and there are a couple wires disconnected behind the guages. I don't know if the hour meter is accurate- it doesn't look original. I have the hood for it and it's in good condition- forgot to put it back on for the photos. We also have the original manuals for it(not reprints) somewhere, but I still have to find them. My husband has failing health and unable to work for last 2 years. I am on disability. We have taxes and bills to pay, he said sell the dozer. Following is the description in his words: I have owned this dozer over 15 years. It has been a good one and the blade is great. The dozer is strong and I have built roads, developments, etc. It has low hours for a dozer from the 1970's, I think, according to the serial number it is a 1979, has only 3439 hours on it. The last couple of times I used it, it would run a while and shut down. I would bleed the fuel line and it would run about 10 min. and quit again. Air in the line. Finally, the last time, it would not start. simple as that. We do not have a local diesel mechanic so I left it sitting in the field. My health got worse and I did not get anyone to work on it because I did not need it anymore. ... moreThe closest CAT mechanic is in Charlotte, 3 hrs. away, and they charge from the time they leave until they get back. I decided just to sell it to the highest bidder and let them fix it and make some bucks or get years of use out of it. I was told by one person that it could just be a small hole in the fuel line. It could also be the injector pump. A good diesel mechanic can fix it. I am not a mechanic and not able to work on it and if I had it fixed I could no longer operate it. I have owned several pieces of equipment but this dozer is the one I have enjoyed most. The tracks are 95% rest of undercarriage probably 85% Blade is very good 8 foot. The best thing to do is look at it and use your own judgement. It would dig in and push and the 6-way is the best I ever owned. It has a good running diesel engine, it starts good, even in the winter, I used this machine this winter to push snowbanks back when they got to big or hard for the truck, ran and worked good, the bucket is 5 and a half feet wide, the loader is in very good condition not all welded up, has a self leveling bucket, has rear slab weights on it, the guages are new, has lights but they are currently not working, the transmission and clutch are in good condition, also has a good working reverser on it, meaning you can go forward or reverse in any gear by just moving a lever, the tracks are in good condition, I am not sure how many hours are on it the hour meter was repalced 336 hours ago, at that time it had some motor work done to it to what extent I do not ... moreknow, but a new tach. was installed, I got it from a farm estate where they told me that the motor was overhauled and a new tach. was put in at that time, I have no paperwork to prove this so I dont at what depth it was overhauled, but it does run and start very good, the tracks seem to be in very good condition I have never had any problems with them, it steers good both ways, you can pull lever back and it will spin a circle, but I will say that if steering right you have to pull lever all the way back, I think this just needs adjusting because it will spin a circle if pulled back. This little machine was in the process of being restored, but never got finished it sat in a shed for the last five years, the motor is now stuck from sitting, I am not sure what was done to motor butit looks like the head and block have been off and put back on, the fuel valve looks new, but it is complete except for the seat, the tracks roll, and it does steer, the trans shifts in 1st and reverse I cant get it to go into 2 nd gear, HI/LO shifts and it has a PTO, the clutch snaps in and out, the tracks are complete, there is a weld on the rear final drive on left side if facing rear you can see it in the photo of rear of crawler, has a DLTX# 10 Carburator and a good drawbar hitch on it, the hood is good with a few dings, the radiator looks good. Vintage 1957 John Deere 420C Crawler Dozer Tractor NO RESERVE Up for bid is a 1957 John Deere 420C Crawler. Serial number 119279. This beast was owned by my late father but has not run in 5 years. He said it was running and all steering, hydraulics, and transmission were working fine while he had it. He changed the oil in 2009, but after starting the engine seemed to seize. He never did anything to it afterwards. This is an original 6 volt system. It has no apparent radiator leaks. The visible track looks good. The seat. Hood and grill shell were placed on the tractor for picture purposes only. The seat and grill cover, along with some extra parts, were purchased new by my father but never installed. The Crawler has been kept covered with a tarp. Total hours are 1291.8. This Crawler has a 5 roller track which was considered much better than ... morethe 4 roller. I believe it is a 5 speed which was an upgrade option. The body is painted yellow(instead of the JD green) which meant it was made for industrial use. The industrial crawlers had more horse power. Factory weight for this crawler is 4700 pounds. However. I do not know if that is the actual weight of this crawler since I don’t know how it came from the factory(blade, etc) Model 420 was the replacement for the 40 in the John Deere line of tractors in 1956. It's said the 40W was the prototype for the 420s. The Phase II 420's were made in 1957. A new block was used but it was not much different than the 40. An optional five speed transmission became available. Some of the drive components were heavier. This is a great restoration project. I don’t know what it needs to make it run. But once complete it would be the star of your collection and a real work horse too! There is no reserve on this item. Once bidding is completed. John Deere 1010 Crawler Loader. This little machine came out of a collection where it has been stored in a bran, it hasnt been run much in the last five years, it has a gas motor and is running in the photos, it runs good, starts right up, the loader works very good and smooth it is a model 810-820 loader, it is in good condition, the tracks are in good condition, it has 4 slab rear weights on rear, has a self leveling bucket, one joystick runs all the functions of loader, the transmission is good it shifts I gear and stays in it has a reverser and it works good you do not have to clutch to go from forward to reverse, the machine steers great to the right to the left it sometimes will steer perfect and then it will not steer I think the clutches are sticking from sitting this is a easy fix, it is getting better but still at times doesnt want ... moreto steer to left, it has a brake and it works good, there is a hydraulic oil leak under crawler it is a steel line I am not sure if it is a fitting or a cracked line, it does drip and should eventually be replaced, the metal is very good and solid, this is a solid good running crawler, it can be put to work, but if you are going to use it hard everyday you should fix the hyd leak and adjust the steering clutch so it steers good all the time, but that is getting better and from using it may just start working correct. if you are looking for a good running and operating little crawler this one is selling NO RESERVE to the highest bidder. Caterpillar 955K track loader. I bought this loader last year to widen my pond and to clear 3/4 acre of trees. It saved me a lot of time and money. I put a new muffler on it and fixed an oil leak. Elk Forest Farms. Inc. is pleased to offer a used John Deere 350B crawler loader backhoe up for sale. I am unsure of the exact year. The SN is listed above. We bought the machine from a local summer camp here with a bad engine 3 years ago. Over the past three years we had worked on the machine a little at a time. We rebuilt the engine with new sleeves, pistons, bearings, refurbished head, new gaskets, rebuilt starter, new injectors, filters, etc. We put the engine in and found out the steering needed work so we replaced the steering clutches with new fiber plates, steel plates, and new brake bands. We also had put a new set of chain rails on the machine at this time too. The 3-cyl. John Deere diesel engine starts very easy and runs out well. The transmission works great. The machine steers excellent both ways. It pushes and works great. The ... moremachine is equipped with the front 4-in-1 loader bucket. It is pretty handy if you want to grab brush, trees, rocks, etc. The backhoe is a quick attach and can be removed in 5 minutes and can be reattached in approx. 15 minutes. I then steamwashed the machine and had it repainted. We put new decals and and brand new seat with armrests on the machine. I have a ton of money and time in this machine and will probably never get what I got into out of it but I need to move it so I am selling it at a no reserve price so highest bidder owns it.
