Elk Forest Farms. Inc. has a used Caterpillar D3B crawler dozer up for sale. The machine is powered by a 4-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engine. The engine starts easy and runs strong. The oil pressure needle stays high in the green area of the guage which is good. The transmisssion is a powershift with 3 speeds forward and 3 speeds reverse. All gears work well and have no signs of slipping or hesitations. Both foot steering pedals work well both ways. I believe the left side clutch is a little sticky due to not being used because you have to press a little harder on that side for the machine to steer. The right side steering clutch pedal you just touch it and it steers. The machine has an open ROPS. This machine came from a local paving contractor that updated his equipment. All closed up it measures approximately 17" long x 8" wide x 14" tall(top of handle) When the bucket is extended in the opposite direction of the cab it measures about 32" long. The plastic wheels are marked Tonka XMB-975. The truck is made of plastic& metal. Trailers, etc. Here's the deal, I acquired a 14-acre piece of property from an estate that has numerous pieces of heavy equipment and other items spread around it. It took me 3-days to find all of the hidden treasures and I'm not sure I have even found them all at this point. The property is overgrown with palmetto bushes so most of these treasures were hidden until I could'machete my way' to them. The bad news- They have been sitting for about 10-years and may or may not be able to fully be brought back to life. On the other hand, they are certainly good for parts or even scrap weight. Here's what I have found thus far and am selling with as a lot. Please bear with me because I am not familiar with construction equipment and do not know the correct ... morenames for some of these items. I will describe them as I see them. 1. Priced to sell.This is a very strong running Case 1150 dozer. Engine was rebuilt last summer. 10 foot blade, approx. 11 ton machine. New starter, two brand new heavy duty 1000 CCA batteries, complete Case 1150 manual book(160.00 book) New glass in the fully enclosed cab, all glass is perfect except the little window down low has a couple cracks.
