They reported everything is in good condition: two rollers are worn& could be replaced but does not affect the machines ability to perform. Are you kidding me? This is a great machine and their inspection of the entire machine was 2 worn rollers. The cost of rollers per the inspector is $150 each. This lets you know I took care of the machine. John Deere 440 Crawler Loader Backhoe Dozer Bulldozer NO RESERVE PRICE!
Elk Forest Farms. Inc. has a used John Deere 440 crawler loader backhoe up for auction. I am unsure of the exact year of the machine. The machine is powered by a 2-cylinder GM 2-cycle diesel engine. The engine starts with starting fluid and runs strong. The transmission has 4 speeds forward and one speed reverve. All gears seem to work well as does the engine clutch. The machine steers both ways. The backhoe has some patching and welding done to it as the pictures show. We sandblasted it and repainted it with factory JD enamels. We put a brand new seat on it. The machine is an older machine however it is slow and steady. The backhoe attachment can be removed from the machine quite easily and reinstalled when needed. 1987 Dresser Crawler Dozer TD 15E Bulldozer
For sale a 1987 Dresser TD 15E dozer which we have owned for the past 4 years. We used it on our farm and no longer have a need for it. The front lift cylinders for the blade have started seeping and need to be repacked. Also we bought new rear sprockets for it but have not installed them. They will go with the dozer. Dozer starts as soon as you hit the button every time no matter what the outside temperature. We installed new batteries and a new seat this year. Dozer has the power shift transmission with the power turn option. We purchased machine from a farmer who also had used it on his farm 4 years ago. Dozer is sold as-is. This is a US Trac model 10A crawler tractor built by the US Tractor Corperaction of Warren Ohio from 1947 to 1950. It is a civilian model of the famed Clark Air CA-1 that was built during WW2 to be air dropped on the battlefields. The total number of CA-1 produced is not clear but it appeart to have been less than one thousand and of that number vary few still exist. After the war Clark equipment company sold its tooling and left over parts to"USTRAC" In 1950 US trac sells out to"Terratrac" then around 1957-59, Terratrac sold out to"J.I. Case" which today is"Case-International" The number of UStrac produced is also unknown, but based on known seral numbers there were at least 687 and again vary few know exist. Elk Forest Farms. Inc. has a used Caterpillar D3B crawler dozer up for sale. The machine is powered by a 4-cylinder Caterpillar diesel engine. The engine starts easy and runs strong. The oil pressure needle stays high in the green area of the guage which is good. The transmisssion is a powershift with 3 speeds forward and 3 speeds reverse. All gears work well and have no signs of slipping or hesitations. Both foot steering pedals work well both ways. I believe the left side clutch is a little sticky due to not being used because you have to press a little harder on that side for the machine to steer. The right side steering clutch pedal you just touch it and it steers. The machine has an open ROPS. This machine came from a local paving contractor that updated his equipment. Not to sure on the year possable 1986.Wide tracks 20' comes with operators manual, service manual,and a parts manual. I changed motor oil and most of the filters when i first got it aprox year ago. there are two hour meters when i got it one said 353 and the other said 459,now one says 387 and the other 480.I think it has more then that.I think i put on about 35. Still have alot to go before next oil change.Everything works as it should with the exception of a gauge or two.Just greased it. Negatives: C frame and blade have had weld repairs but they seemed to have been done good so shouldn't be a problem. front grill area was damaged and straightened but not factory. seat damage already mentioned. On the factory"P" model the shoes are 20" pyramid or swamp type shoes with 3.4 psi ground pressure. Some have grouser bar welded to the top for additional traction. These are an excellent low ground pressure pad and are self cleaning and will run in snow without plugging. They are rough riding on rocky ground. Do not provide as much traction as the single grouser shoes and tend to break in hard ground applications. 1946 Trail Beetle dozer. A rare little machine. Trail Beetle history(copied from the internet) The Trail Beetle was designed at the US Forest Service. Equipment Development Laboratory in Portland, Oregon. Three prototype Beetles was built in 1945. Construction of the Trail Beetle was contracted to Western Gear Works of Seattle who built 25 Trail Beetles in 1946 for use by the Forest Service. Beetles were built in two gauges(widths) narrow and wide as models N and W. The narrow gauge Trail Beetles were used for building trails, while the wide gauge Beetles were for general use. Upon completion of the USFS contract, Western Gear built additional Beetles in 1947 and 1948 for commercial sale. These were wide gauge W-2 models and marketed as the Beetle Tractor. The USFS Equipment Lab also provided plans to other companies and similar machines, ... moreall wide gauge, were built in Canada as the Laurentide Beetle and Massachusetts as the Mity-Kat. All Trail Beetles and Beetle Tractors were fitted with a Waukesha model ICK engine; a 61 cubic inch. Water-cooled four cylinder. Beetle models N and W used a Zenith carb, while model W-2 used a Schebler. A total of 90 production Beetles were built between 1946 and 1948: 25 Trail Beetles(models N and W) and 65 Beetle Tractors(models W and W-2) Total production by gauge was 18 narrow gauge(model N) and 72 wide gauge(12 model W and 60 model W-2) About this Trail Beetle: I am sure I will regret selling it. It is a neat little machine. This is much more substantial than other small dozers like the Struck units. This is industrial strength. The steering assembly-differential is from a much larger OC-3. This little crawler is over-built. The engine is a small 61 cubic inch. Water cooled, 4 cylinder Waukesha ICK flathead. This is the more rare N model, or narrow gauge. It is about 29 inches wide at the tracks. Length is about 8 feet overall. Weight is around 2000 lbs. I haven't started it in well over a year. So it will need the fuel drained and replaced, probably a new battery.

Dresser TD15E Dozer Bulldozer
Elk Forest Farms. Inc. is pleased to offer a used Dresser TD15E dozer up for sale. The machine is powered by a 6-cylinder International DT diesel engine. The engine starts very easy and runs out strong. The final drives do not leak and have good gear oil in them. The blade has hyd. tilt. The blade is 10'6" wide. I will remove the blade at no extra cost for transport if needed so it will be under 8' 6" wide to avoid permits. The transmission works great and it steers excellent. The previous owner started to repair the machine as far as the undercarriage goes. They put one side new drive sprocket and a decent chain rail. The other side they did not get to do. I have the other new drive sprocket and the other track chain that was supposed to go on that side that goes along with the sale of this dozer. Tracks are not that old and sprockets are good. Machine runs strong just like new, engine is super clean and looks new. Needs some brake work. All in all a VERY nice dozer for the money. For your consideration; one CASE 450 Bucket Loader. Diesel, Torque Converter Drive. The under carriage is excellent, the rollers, chains and sprockets are said to have under 50 hours on them. The pads were re-used. This machine was kept in heated/ dry storage for well over twenty years; well maintained; currently I have just rebuilt two hydraulic cylinders, replaced all hydraulic, fuel& oil filters, installed new master cylinders& brake/steering actuators, installed new upholstery arm rests(w/seat cushions still in box) bought new bucket teeth, and more. I have both a parts book and shop manual, as well as an owners/operator manual, along with more seals, filters, etc. all to go with the machine. Runs well, drives& steers. Machine is estimated to weigh about 13,000 pounds. I have not worked this machine personally, selling AS-IS, ... morewhere-is, in used condition, with no known issues. John Deere JD 450 crawler loader backhoe bulldozer bull dozer
JD 450 crawler with a four in one bucket and a backhoe. The backhoe also comes off and I have rear weights that go with it. The right clutch needs adjustment as it will not turn right. Tracks need to be tensioned. Grease fittings need replaced. Buckets need new teeth. Starts and runs great. right armrest need redone. You can see in the video. only has a couple of hundred hours on it since it was gone through. Sprockets and rollers are good. Can take more pictures and e-mail them if requrested.
