Antique BALANCE SCALE- SYSTEM BERANGER- 3kg- This great old scale measures approximately 13-3/4" left to right; 3" front to back without the tray brackets( 4-1/2" with brackets) 6" to the top of the pointers. The ornate pointers are birds. And the scale is balanced when the birds are level. Includes two trays, which I think are brass. Each tray measures approximately 6-3/4" diameter; 1-1/8" deep. The trays show use and wear- both with green patina around part of the underside of the rim. Each tray is marked- the top part of the mark appears to be a rooster or chicken. Then it reads: T No. 2320" Each tray also has two other marks- the lower mark closer to the"2320" appears to be an"IV" over"TC" over a partial circle over"61" The mark closer to the rooster/chicken appears ... moreto be the same, except with"64" on the bottom- and a stylized"X" marked through the entire mark. I know this sounds confusing, but I think you'll see what I mean if you zoom-in on photos 10 and 12. We have not found any manufacturer name on the scale. The green and red paint appears original, with some areas that are rusty. The adjustments seem to work. May need calibration, especially after shipping. Covers Marcoing. Ribecourt, Havrincourt, Fontaine notre Dame, Grtaincourt lez Havrincourt, Hermies, Beaumetz lez Cambrai, Pronville, Inchy en Artois, Queant, Buissy, Raillencourt, Palluel, Aubencheul au Bac, Oisy le Vergert, Rumaucourt. Some dirt on surface. Bottom part of map has wear along the edges of fold that are exposed when folded but mostly OK Some splattered brown stains which could be trench mud or even blood. Note postage is a deliberately high estimate and I refund difference after posting. Makes for quicker despatch.
