Wild Heerbrugg M20 Microscope with polarized Incident Light & Phototube & Object
This M20 is currently setup for incident light illumination and is capable of darkfield. And brightfield microscopy. The light source for the illuminator has been converted to a fiber optic source and the light source pictured is included. It also has two 360 degree rotatable polarizers both in the light path and an analyzer polarizer. Four EPI objectives 4X, 10X, 20X, and 40X are included with n.a. values ranging from 0.10 to 0.65. The frame and head are a newer version of the Swiss made, M20 microscope both in excellent condition. The paint is nearly flawless with good shine. The EPI illuminator is from an older M20 scope and cosmetically not nearly as nice as the frame but it does function properly. Both irises in this illuminator move with the condenser iris sticking just a bit. Polarizers are in great shape, rotate well and no delamination. ... moreMechanical controls all work as they should with condenser focus, Fine and course focus and mechanical stage movements all smooth and functional. Stage is oversize with about 4” of movement in both X and Y directions and includes a glass insert. Objectives are generally in good shape with the only flaw I could find in the front lens of the 10X objective where there is some etching of the glass. It’s significant enough to effect image quality but still very useable. Other flaws are significant oxidation of the chrome on the objective turret(see photos) and paint degradation on the lens assembly of the base illuminator lens housing(this lens also is losing its AR coating) This microscope also has a 1.4 NA condenser(an old Nikon I believe) so with the addition of the in base illuminator it could also do transmission microscopy. My overall assessment would be a nice very useable microscope as is with some room for fixing-up/upgrading. In addition to PayPal I also accept checks with shipment delay until check clears. This is an extremely rare Roelofs Solar Prism. Manufactured by Wild Heerbrugg as an theodolite accessory for making solar observations. Produces four overlapping images of the sun, which makes it possible to obtain precision solar observations. Built in solar filter. Serial number 794. Originally built for the Wild T2 theodolite, can fit any theodolite with an adaptor. Note in photo that the slip-on mount has an inside diameter of about 46 mm, and is tightened with a screw clamp. Includes original carrying case and photocopy of original product sheet. The prism is in very good original condition. It has seen field use. With some wear on the carrying case that is consistent with its age and use by a professional surveyor. There are no chips, scratches or dings on the paint or optics of the prism itself. Included in this listing: Wild T1 Theodolite w/ optical plumb Bullet case Matching Tripod Plumb bob, Original manual, CHECK my other listings for matching diagonal eyepiece set(high elevation and microscope) Optics are all clear and focus well. All knobs turn smoothly. The brass lens cap is in good shape and fits snugly. Bullet case has some dents and scratches but mates up and latches securely; leather strap/handle is broken. Tripod has no cracks in the wood and seems to work well. The brass thumb screws work better than the ones on my new Sokkia tripod! I tried to get lots of pics. But feel free to ask questions. This Wild Heerbrugg N-3 Survey Level is in excellent mechanical condition. The level's optics and additional features are all in proper working condition. This piece has not been calibrated recently. Case with latch and lockdowns all work well. Original strap is slightly frazzled but is strong. The magnification eyepiece is in good condition with strong locking twist both on case and level. Mirror level reflector is in good condition even though photo is reflecting lights and may appear to have cracks. It does not. This is a good working piece and has not been abused.
