I would qualify the condition of this unit as fair to need some attention. All the moving parts seem to function and can see through the lenses fine. However upon visual inspection i noticed warehouse yellowing and when i look through the bottom lens i noticed rust spots inside. So this will need a good professional clean up. FYI this came from a local university surplus. One eye pieces is missing but has a wild heerbrugg 10x that may need to be replaced. Sold as-is. Shipping will be based on your zip code or location. Wild Heerbrugg Stereoscope ST4 with Eye Pieces & Parallax Bar !! Switzerland
This listing is for a Wild Heerbrugg Stereoscope with the eye pieces. The parallax bar and the case, I beleive this is the model ST4, it is made in Switzerland not Singapore like some. During my initial inspection this appeared mint, upon very close inspection I was able to find flaws, they are: a tiny spec of debris in one of the eyepieces, and some light deterioration of the large mirrors only at the far edge(seen in photos) The mirror issue seems to be far enough at the edge that it cannot be seen during use, and the little spec of debris in the eyepiece could be removed if you opened up the eyepiece and carefully cleaned it. Also the case has issues, the glue holding the foam inserts in has dried up and the inserts come out now(can be fixed with more glue) and the handle is only attached at one side. Other that that this set is excellent ... moreand the eyepieces are clean and free of fungus or haze, veiwing through the unit is super sharp. You can pick the item up yourself and avoid all shipping& handling costs.
