Contemporary Modern Acrylic Glass Black White City Wall Art Building Skyscraper
This is titled God Human Perspective and is rendered by color etching acrylic glass plate. All are done freehand and the cast acrylic is superior in optical qualities compared with extruded plastics. In most cases they are highly reflective and glossy and I try to capture this in the images. The mounts bring these off the wall 3/4" to 1" Total Dimensions are 12" x 12" x 1-1.3"deep approx) I suspect these will last 100 years and are UV tolerant. Most have a second clear cast plate over the black plate and are etched on the front and back giving an additional stunning 3D effect which is difficult to capture in pictures- so use your imagination. In fact. With angled lighting, the forefront etchings will cast a shadow on the back of the plate and is really neat looking. Those with a front clear plate also illuminate within ... moreand throughout the material with ambient and normal lighting. Add a track light aimed into any side and over the top to accentuate ambient and shadow effects. I suggest a 25-35 watt parabolic concave halogen lamp. Condition of these are good and the only deficiencies are from normal handling by artist. I took as many pictures(not enhanced) as possible and the pictures do no justice. The World Columbian Exposition was held from May to October 1893 in Chicago in honor of the 400th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of the new world. In competition with many other cities. Chicago was finally designated the official site and the Exposition was built on 630 acres in and around Jackson Park. It was a spectacular display of progress and prosperity, and included among its many wonders electrical exhibits, exhibits from other countries, and a popular amusement area on Midway Plaisance with carnival rides, among them the first Ferris Wheel.
