Antique 1928 Dietzgen Survey Transit Level - Tripod - Wood Case - 14' Grade Rod
Very nice antique 1928 Dietzgen model 14186 black and brass transit and case with tripod and early grade rod. The transit is in very good condition. Slight wear to the top of the piece from use, seems to still be in perfect working order. The wooden case is also in very good condition along with the leather strap and contains a tag with product information from a previous owner. The tripod is a Charvoz No A-37 from Japan, this came with the transit but is not original to it. The grade rod is a 14' survey rod, very old and good condition but the makers label is worn and I can't read it. Excellent antique surveyor's set, would be a wonderful display! Vintage U.S. Military/ Army Engineer Level. Brunson Transit Model 45. It is 1950's era in original wooden box with accessories. After looking at the original manual I did notice it is missing the reticle assembly. Otherwise. It is in great condition including lens quality. I will include a copy of the original Brunson manual. The wooden case measures 19-3/4" length x 6-7/8" width x 10-3/8" height. The transit is roughly 17-7/8" x 1-1/2" diameter tube and stands 9" from the base.

Vintage L.S. Starrett Survey Tripod Transit Level Instrument 101-A In Wood Box
You are bidding on a nice vintage L.S. Starrett. Company No. 101-A Leveling Instrument. This was made in Athol, Mass. I do not know the age of this item. It comes in the original box, with the tripod, level, plumb bob, and transit. The level contains liquid and has the bubble. It has been used and the metal is pitted, but item seems to be in working order. The site has no glass(I don't know if it is supposed to) but does have the site markers. Item shows some rust, but knobs turn easily and even I could set it up. Item comes in the original dovetailed wooden box with the label. But does not come with the manual. The hinges on the box are broken and there is a section on the end of the box that has broken off. If hinges were replaced, box would keep item safe. I am not an expert on this item. For sale is a vintage David White 8202 surveyor's transit level. Circa 1950's. Aside from missing its OEM manufacturer's plate, which only states manufacturer, serial number, etc, it is in immaculate condition. The compass functions, the glass is all perfectly intact and, from what I can tell, is scratch free. It comes with a small magnification device and the original wooden box, also in great shape.

It has a serial number of 47783 which leads us to believe this is from 1947. It is overall in good shape with a nice patina. It is missing a few pins that hold the rear top strap on(see pics) We also are including the original plate with the serial number and cat number. This scope really has a great look and is made of solid brass. Really neat piece to display on a shelf or in an office. It includes the lens hood also which can be removed. W. L.E. Antique Heller & Brightley Philadelphia Wood Survey Transit Level Tripod Stand
This is an antique HELLER& BRIGHTLEY. Philadelphia, wood survey transit or level tripod stand. When closed. It measures 59 inches tall. The round metal piece on top measures 4 1/8 inches wide. I'm not sure what type of metal the fittings are made of. But they appear to be brass. I believe the top round piece is white metal, though it appears to be very strong. The three pieces on the bottom are made of iron, and they have both pitting and rust on them. But they are very sturdy. There is a piece of strong canvas which is used to keep the three legs together on the bottom. There are numerous scratches. Scuff marks and dings to it. The piece needs a good polishing. This is common with these tripods. There are no breaks. Repairs or damage to it. It weighs a little over 13 pounds.

Antique W. L.E. Gurley Brass Transit Level Surveying Instrument with Original Box Manufactured by W. L.E. GURLEY ENGINEERING INSTRUMENTS TROY. N.Y.U.S.A. ~ Transit Level ~ Presented for your consideration is this excellent piece of surveying history that Gurley Engineer Transit. This all original antique equipment shows no signs of abuse. There are no cracks in the glass or lenses. The optics and motions appear to be perfect and the cross hairs(Radical) are present. The patina is still pretty darn good considering the age of the brass. The level vial is full and function properly. All parts move and turn easily. There are several fine tuning adjustments on the bottom base. The threaded base has a center hook for a plumb bob. A string is still attached there although the plumb bob is missing. This telescope measures approximately 2 1 1/2" ... morelong. Overall height of instrument is 8" and it weighs over 20 pounds. The original wood box still features its original paper label on the interior of the lid. The leather carrying strap is damaged and I can only assume it is original. Box has 2 front closure latches and a key hole. Sorry no key. The interior of the box is in good condition. It has a place to hold the plumb bob and the instrument fits securely inside. The outside shows some wear due to age and use. Box is 9 3/4” tall, 23” long and 5 3/4” wide. A nice old instrument it would look amazing in any collection. Lutz of Japan Hand Held Sight Level Survey Transit with Leather Sheath
Up for bid is a Lutz Hand Held Sight Level in a Leather Case. Marked Japan on the Sheath and Level. I don't know much about this item other than it is used in surveying. It has a bubble in glass that is in good condition. The glass lens is clear, there are few scratches on the level or sheath. There is a screw near the bubble- not sure of it's function. Also not sure if it telescopes or the viewing end comes off. It does rotate. The opposite end does have threads to remove the lens. The case has a loop for wearing on a belt. Previous owner labeled the sheath in black marker. Both pieces look to be in very good shape. Measures 6 1/8" long x 1" across the central portion and the sheath is 7 1/4" long. Vintage Keuffel & Esser K&E Surveying Transit Level w/case & Brass Plumb Bob
For sale is a vintage Keuffel& Esser(K&E) Transit Level with case and brass plumb bob. As pictured. I am not knowledgeable about this item but it appears to be in pretty good shape. My non-technical checking of this item reveal that it rotates freely, is securely attached to bottom/base of case, knobs all turn, I looked thru it for a few minutes and it appeared to focus in and out OK. Other than that is is being sold untested and sold as is. Thanks for looking! NY State residents please add 8% sales tax.

NY transit with case, tripod, and level rod. Surveying instrument is in very good shape– no scratches on the glass. The exterior of the surveying instrument has minimal scratches and will just need a good cleaning. The box is in decent condition(has scratches and stains) and will need a thorough cleaning. The box does not have the original leather strap– it has been replaced. The tripod is in good condition. The measuring post is very worn and some of the number are illegible.
