I am listed it as a Theodolite because the EDM is not working, yet it still makes a great accurate Electronic Theodolite that I checked and that impressive 1.5" accuracy is real! If you know the right Leica Technician(I could not find one) he may service the instrument to have the EDM working again. Otherwise it makes a great theodolite 10 times more accurate than those Topcon DT209 that are sold on Ebay close to $1000. Instrument. Wild Heerbrugg Theodolite 21B Tripod w/parts - WWII Era Surveyors - Brass & Wood
Gorgeous Wild Heerbrugg 21B wood& brass tripod from WWII era. Tripod is roughly 39" tall at it's shortest. Can be over 5' tall fully extended depending on how you set the legs. Extremely clean and well cared for, all metal parts are/were originally painted. Apparatus base at head of tripod is brass, wood legs look to be maple(we think? Impressive bottom"talons. Original leather strap with buckle. Bag with many little misc parts, brass screws, brass knobs. Of note in the parts bag is a wingnut style hex key for adjusting bolts on the tripod, and a little vial(for lack of a better word) which unscrews to reveal a needle-type tool- both items brass. Two sets of wood insert pieces- two pieces in the longer set appear to be cracked and have duct tape on them. Entire tripod stored in canvas bags as pictured. Beautiful WWII vintage Wild Heerbrugg Theodolite- number 13928. Based on this very low number and what we have found on the Wild Heerbrugg website. We estimate that this dates from the early 1940's and appears to be an NT1 model. Comes complete with theodolite, original case, sun shield and lens cap. Also have a bound printout(in German) of the Wild Spare Parts Manual for the T1A/T1AE and another photocopied manual The Theodolite and its Application. In beautiful condition, leather strapping looks to be cared for, latches work fine to hold in place for transport, sun shield is tight on scope, but looks to never have been used as there is no evidence of scuffing on device or cuff. Complete WWII Era Wild Heerbrugg battery power light box kit- and it WORKS. Box includes two working lights with two-prong cords which plug into receptacles with waterproof slide release. One light has flip on-off switch(like a wall switch) Other light does not have on-off switch. But is just ON when it is plugged in. This second light is able to be dimmed using the rheostat knob on the outside of the case. Four spare lightbulbs stored in wooden holder. We put 6 D cell batteries in to test, and everything works(see pic) Batteries not included in sale. Case and leather handle appear to be in good used condition, and very clean. This has a battery compartment on the top and this still works as a light on the outside turned on and off. This comes with the 3 glass colored lenses as well as a couple of other pieces as well a sheet of paper saying when it was last overhauled which was 1969 and it has all ticks for the components checked. A KERN SWISS MADE GK1-A THEODOLITE IN A HARD CASE LOOKS NICE QUALITY
This is for what I think is called a Theodolite. It was made in Switzerland by Kern and has a number GK1-A on. It comes in a orange hard case. It has a mount attachment in the case with it and then I think you would mount it on a tripod. It has adjusters on the side and eye piece. It is a green coloured metal so is quite a heavy item. I have looked through it and it seems to have strong magnification. I should think an expensive item to buy.
