A little history of the transit. I thought this was working correctly but it is not. I sold it and buyer returned it because vertical digital readout not working properly so now it is listed as parts and repair no returns. The vertical readout stays on zero all the time. I am not sure why and I do not know how to repair so this is sold AS-IS no returns as buyer knows this is no longer working correctly. Other readouts seem to still work but it has no warranty and is sold for parts or repair only. No returns so bid accordingly. We purchased property 3 years ago property lines were not marked. I purchased this to shoot in property lines for fencing from hubs in road. Installed fencing and a neighbor disagreed with my survey. I had worked as layout person for large construction company and had check all my measurements several times and was ... moreconfident of my stakes. This person hired a survey crew only to find the surveyor was within a couple inches of my post. My fencing was on my property. This gave me a sense of how accurate this transit is. In short I have used this to lay out 1. property fence line for 7 acres 2. shoot in and lay out for raised mound septic system 3.Lay out and grade a garage pad 4. lay out and grade for driveway The manual explains how to use it. And also can find some videos for use on you tube. Now I am finished with this tool and someone else has use for it I am sure. This has 2 battery packs: 1 takes regular aa batteries and lasts for hours. 1 is a rechargeable battery pack that will not work very long(maybe 5 min if that) it needs replaced. The"S" is the higher model with 52mm lens and a 43x magnification as opposed to the T2000 which only has a 42mm lens and 30x magnification. It comes with the battery, carrying case, the strap that has never been used, the key to the latch locks, and two cables. The optics are clean and sharp. This was owned by Bell Helicopters, so you know it was a top of the line model. The battery still holds a charge. The overall condition of transit is good considering it was once in a teaching lab here at Washington State University. Unfortunately over the years all the accessories have been lost; missing are the plum bob and other small tools that once sat in pockets on the box door. However. The eye shroud is accounted for and will accompany the transit. We performed rudimentary testing of all the functions for this transit during our inspection which did not reveal any misgivings. You are bidding on an ANTIQUE WARREN-KNIGHT SURVEYOR'S TRANSIT MODEL WK-7-CF WITH ORIGINAL WOODEN CASE(COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL INTERNAL LABELS AND SKELETON KEY! I'm not sure of its age. My research suggests that Warren-Knight began manufacturing these in 1913. Based on the Center City Philadelphia address on the case. This one has to be pre-1963(when Warren Knight moved) and most likely it's closer to 1913 than 1963. Also included is the original lens cap and lens hood. Condition Details: The transit itself. As well as the case, show lots of patina/character that suggests careful(though extensive) field use. I'm not familiar with surveyor's instruments, but giving this a thorough look-over, I'm convinced that it's a complete and functional transit. The case locks and unlocks with its original skeleton key. And it ... morehas what I believe is the original heavy-duty leather strap. The wooden case is in good shape cosmetically for its age. The leather strap could do with a good cleaning, but I'm leaving it alone in case you want to preserve its current condition. If you do want to clean it, it's easily removable with screws. I'm not sure whether the long hinge on the wooden case is original, or if it's a replacement; however, it's a good, functioning hinge. The case still has its original Warren-Knight decal and four rubber feet. The two original labels are still affixed to the case. Although the inner one has lost some paper. See photos for detail. Offered for sale is a boxed Keuffel& Esser Theodolite Surveying Instrument. Model No. 75 0300. The box is missing half of its end piece& is well weathered. This is an"as found" piece& we are not surveyors, but the instrument appears to be fully functional& the optics are not damaged. The basic instrument is 18-12" long& 8-1/2" tall by 4" wide. The instrument comes with an end cover, for storage, as well as a hood to replace the cap. The box is 19-3/4" long& 9-3/4" tall by 6-1/4" wide. The charger, the case and the documentation(if it's not in the picture, it's not included in this auction) I have charged and tested the battery pack and it's in very good to excellent condition. The single battery pack is a 1400 mA-Hr pack and will power the unit for 2-2.5 hours of working time. This unit is fully calibrated(a $200 value) as shown in the attached pictures. The optics are very clean and produce an excellent image of the target. This unit is 100% functional and I have found no problems during testing. I have the users manual and EDM measurement procedure in both hardcopy and PDF. While both are included in the purchase price, the hardcopy might have to be shipped in a separate package. Vintage Eagle Theodolite Transit Model 14 In Box 1963
Vintage Eagle Theodolite survey transit. Made in SES Tokyo, Japan. Serial number 6747 July 29. 1963. Model 14 Original wooden box. No plumb bob. Sun shade, screwdrivers or spaner. Box is in ok original condition. Has gouges and marks in wood, but is holding together. There are two hooks to hold the lid, and also a lock, but no key. The original leather strap is broke, and missing. The transit is dirty, but other than that it seems in decent condition. All the glass is good, and the transit turns freely. Being'sold as is' So be sure and ask questions and know what you are bidding on. I will do my best to answer your questions, but I am not real familiar with transits.
