You roughly level the unit using the round bubble indicator and it self-levels from there, stopping if it is disturbed to where it can't self-level so you don't get a false beam. The laser is not easy to see by eye but is easily detected by the included Topcon LS-70C receiver. All functions are working on the receiver plus a new battery as well. The included mount for the receiver is in good condition and has a round bubble level in it. The carrying case is for a slightly different model number but is in good condition and fits well.
