Before I got into the aircraft business(actually before I finished school) I hung onto the"dumb end of the chain" for a survey crew. I enjoyed hiking throught the woods and have fond memories of my days as a surveyor. I suppose that's why I still like to buy these kinds of instruments. Even though I have no idea how to run them.
