The helmet was a fresh estate item and I did not clean it. Origional webbing is intact on the interior and the original owner has his name and profession tagged. The helmet was issued as part of the Engineering Division of Milwaukee Wisconsin. The helmet has two Instructor First Aid American Red Cross stickers on the front and back and the American Red Cross Volunteer circular decal on the sides. It is black with yellow reflective stripes around it. They are glued on and the ends have came loose on them. It appears that one of the stripes is missing from the back because there is glue left on the helmet. It has a Plectron shield attached to the front which folds up and down. One of the mounting brackets for the shield needs a bottom nut to hold it into place. But that can be easily fixed. It has a leather strap still attached with original clips. The leather band that goes around your head for comfort is cracked and in pretty rouch shape and breaks off easily ... morewithout much work.
