These BG&E linesman's gloves were given to me right off the truck in the early 90's. When my coworker got a battle light, I still think he got the better deal. These are light duty gloves, not the thick rubber ones and considering their age, they are in great shape. They have some grease and de-ox on them but no holes or tears, some loose stiches here and there but intact and completely usable. I don't know if someone wants to use them for electrical work, or if someone collects old BG&E stuff, but they are made of canvas with leather palms, fingers, and knuckle guards. They are trimmed in red, with an elastic strap across the wrist of each glove, and have the old BG&E logo"At BG&E Quality And Safety Go Hand In Hand" on the cuffs. Vtg Leather X-Ray Lead Lined Gloves Liberty Protective
Each one of these gloves are found in cardboard boxes that are dated 1968 on the bottom. The gloves show little if any use although they are very stiff and hard. Perhaps they have not been broken in. I'm not sure how these will be once broken in-if being broken in is even possible at their age. The gloves show a little exterior soiling probably from storage. The paper indicates that the gloves are lead impregnated. The measure over 14" long and just one weighed 2 pounds 4 ounces. These are sold as is and as a preowned pair. Their history is unknown. They may or may not function as they should, they are untested. The size is unknown. Please examine all 8 pictures in detail as they are an important part of the description. My main complaint about other gloves, was that they were too hot! These are leather where you need it and cool nylon and fingerless, so they really keep you cool and protected. They were pretty expensive, too. We moved close to a beautiful park that has an awesome bike wilderness trail. I got to ride it once. That's why we bought this house. So much for that. Overall they still have a lot of life left in them. Most of the glove is not leather. Only the palm and the thumb. The zippers still work. The size is not marked on them. They are a med to a large. french antique leather necessary box with gloves and bone glove stretcher
this is lovely and in wonderful condition i think maybe its a necessare' box. I have womans gloves in it.the inside is clean, the leather outside does show wear, but only adds to its charm, it closes nice and sharp the handle is tight; the accordion is in great condition and extends to give the box additional height room,the stretcher works and is in wonderful condition, truly a great item. picture 2 shows a division in the back hinge, this in no way effects the opening and closing of the box.

VINTAGE LEATHER WAIST APRON 28" X 24" & LEATHER WELDING GLOVES 13"
I bought this apron new in 1972 for working on the greenchain at a lumbermill in the great northwoods. One piece waist apron with split leg construction. This is a thick. Heavy(2lbs 12oz) apron. It is loaded with pitch(tree sap) which makes it wear like iron. This apron will easily last for another 41+ years. Leg straps missing. The gloves are used, never for welding, mostly light duty household chores.

I believe these mitten-style gloves date back to the 1970's era. They retain the clip and hook for holding them together. The color of these mittens is black. The wrist material is stretchy, not leather. The yellow stripes are material not leather, sewn in separately. The gloves are lines with a red felt material. Vintage BEADED ELK leather PLATEAU STYLE GUANTLET GLOVES Purchased in Alaska
Offered here are a beautiful pair of leather gauntlets gloves. Appear to be brain tanned with a beautiful patina to them. Leather fringes have some missing. Very fancy and colorful beaded. Beading is in good shape can not see any loose stitching Blue checkered piece of cloth sewn inside as shown. All stitching appears to be hand done. one hole in back of finger appears to have been in leather prior to sewing. Does not appear to be from ware These gloves were purchased in Alaska over 50 yrs. ago and were worn and show signs of use The hole in the thumb is not a ware hole it is where the stitching has come loose.
