I have recently acquired a wonderful collection of Great Lakes photos. Mostly 5x7s. These are from a collection mostly from an unknown photographer who evidently lived along the Keweenaw Waterway, and many of the photos are from that area. Others are from other areas of the Great Lakes. The photos include freighters, passenger steamers, tugs, and other misc. vessels. I am guessing that the photos from the 1950s are probably originals, the older ones perhaps not. Postage will be $2.50, but I can enclose several for that price. Today. This was evidently when this lock was being built, was sent by one of the men working there. Wish I was with you just 5 minutes. I think we could elevate a few. Things are so dry here the grass turns grey& I am bald headed. Good condition for age. Probably a very rare card. Item#07302011155 Wilson Dam is a dam spanning the Tennessee River between Lauderdale County and Colbert County in the U.S. state of Alabama. It impounds Wilson Lake. It is one of nine Tennessee Valley Authority(TVA) dams on the Tennessee River. The dam was declared a National Historic Landmark on November 13th. 1966. Construction on Wilson Dam ... morebegan in 1918 and was completed in 1924 under supervision of Hugh L. Cooper. The Wilson Dam actually predates the TVA. But was later placed under the authority of the TVA. The dam is 137 feet high and stretches 4,541 feet across the Tennessee River. The cost to build the dam was almost $47 million. The main lock at Wilson Dam is 110 feet wide by 600 feet long. The lock lift is 94 feet. It is the highest single lift lock east of the Rocky Mountains. This is a used Keene 5109PH five-inch gold dredge with a three-stage sluice box. 9HP Honda engine, T-80 compressor and diving equipment for two users, swivel nozzle, custom-built highway trailer, and other ac cessories. I am the original purchaser and sole owner of this equipment. The 5109 PH is a rugged piece of equipment with a powerful suction that will move an awful lot of material in a short time. It is certainly not a toy. The equipment is in very good operating condition and ready for the creek. I'm going on 63. Retired, and near the age where gold prospecting is no longer as easy as it used to be- that is the only reason I'm parting with it. This equipment is six years old. Used about eight times in the creeks of north Georgia. When the equipment is not in use, it is stored in a covered garage and out of the weather. I've ... moreincluded several photos of the equipment to give you an idea of its condition. Unlike a lot of photos of similar equipment, these are not old photos- in fact, they are one week old, taken last week during an outing. These photos will give you a very good indication of its condition. The equipment is well-maintained and never treated roughly. The pontoons, frame, sluice, motor, pump, and accessories are all in very good working condition. Both the suction hose and pressure hose are almost new, and the only items replaced. The pump seal does leak some initially, but stops after the unit has run awhile. The three-stage sluice in particular is a very nice feature, and is excellent in recovering fine gold- it will recover a lot of heavy concentrates which will include the fine gold. The swivel nozzle is also a very handy feature and a must for operating any large dredge. Keene 5 Inch Gold Dredge-Keene 5109 PH,9HP Honda,3-Stage Sluice,T-80 Air Supply
This is a used Keene 5109PH five inch gold dredge with 3-stage sluice. 9HP Honda engine, T-80 air compressor with regulators and harnesses for two divers, swivel nozzle, and all necessary clamps, all in very good condition and ready for the creek. I am the original buyer and sole owner of this equipment and can verify that it has been well-cared for and maintained. This is an excellent dredging package for serious gold dredgers. And a rugged piece of equipment that will move a lot of material in a short time. The only reason I'm selling it is due to my age. This equipment is six years old. Used about eight times in the creeks of north Georgia. I've included several photos to show the very good condition of this equipment. These are current photos, taken last summer during an outing. The pontoons, frame, sluice, motor, pump, and accessories ... moreare all in very good working condition. There are no rusted or busted parts on any of this equipment. The Honda engine is a workhorse, starts easily, and does not smoke or use oil. The engine oil is changed regularly, and the equipment is stored in a covered garage when not in use. The suction hose and pressure hose are almost new, and the only items replaced of the original equipment. The pump seal has always leaked some initially, but stops after the unit has run awhile. The 3-stage sluice in particular is a nice feature, and is excellent in recovering fine gold- the third stage recovers a lot of heavy concentrates which will include the very fine gold. The swivel nozzle is also a very handy feature and a must for operating any large dredge. I've also included a photo of a half ounce gold vial, about half filled with gold, which my son, grandsons and I found with the dredge in a recent five-day trip.
