For your consideration: This very large vintage or antique blacksmith wood and leather bellows. Measures a whopping 42 1/2" X 29" X 10" Still blows air out the base or small end! Looks as though entire side was covered with thin leather to keep air from leaking between boards but obviously most of that leather is long gone. I envision this item either free standing on the small end in the center of a fireplace mantel or hanging or mounted to the nice stone or brick wall above your fireplace. Large Antique LOG CABIN Variation Quilt - Hand Pieced & Quilted 78 X 90"
This lovely antique Log Cabin variation quilt was hand pieced and quilted. The blocks were stitched together by machine. It has a lovely assortment of antique fabrics. The red colors have stayed very strong.The quilt is in very good condition a there are just 2 brown pieces that have deteriorated, they are shown in the last closeup. A very narrow check binding was added, it has split on the 2 short ends but there is very little other signs of use. It is from the late 1800's or very early 1900's. The batting is soft cotton and the backing is polka dot print with a plaid strip at the top. It is clean and odor free. It size is 78 by 90 inches. I am now list my quilts and quilt tops from local estates in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina, I am always happy to combine shipping.

Vintage 1960s Hart Jubilee skis 210 mm w/ Besser plate bindings ski cabin decor
Up for auction is a very nice pair of vintage Hart skis from the late 1960s. The Hart Jubilee model. As can be seen in the pictures, these antiques are in great shape for their age. They were stored indoors in an attic for the past 40 years or so, and haven't been used in decades, There no rust on the edges, no corrosion anywhere-a few minor surface scratches on tops(like the ones that exist on virtually any skis that have actually been taken out to the slopes and skied on) are the only marks on these. Not that anybody is likely to actually do this, but if one were to mount modern bindings on these, they would be completely skiable right now, as is! The bases of these are in great shape, too-nobody ever ran over any rocks on these! These have the huge. Heavy, and very funky-looking original chromed Besser plate bindings on them. With ... morethose bindings, they would make for a very lovely and unique piece of ski cabin or mountain home wall art or décor(either mounted on the wall or above the fireplace, or simply propped into the corner! These are enormous. Very long skis-they're 210mm, or 6'11" Obviously these were most liked owned by a very tall, quite advanced skier. These date from the late 1960s. Doing an internet search. I did find a magazine ad from 1968(reproduced below) featuring this model, so it's likely these date from around that era. These are heavy(20+ pounds shipping weight) and large(shipped in a 7-foot long box) So shipping by UPS Ground would probably be the best option, though if you're located in Northern California and want to pick them up from me locally to avoid shipping charges, you can do that too. If you know of other, more cost-effective ways to ship, just let me know and I can work with you on that. The Ladies Cabin Steamship Company 19thC Rare Antique Naval Maritime History This is a historically interesting ceramic plate. It is an example of pearlware with its bluish grey hue. It was a piece from the Boston Mill Steamship Company and would date to around 1841- relating to the design patent. In all likelihood this would have been produced by a Staffordshire pottery as England was still the centre of world ceramic production in the Victorian era. It has an early black transfer print with a delightful depiction of the"Ladies Cabin" The body of the ceramic also has a bluey hue characteristic of pearlware. For me it is just wonderful to hold a piece like this and consider the stories behind it as it would have been used on board. The plate measures approximately 8 inches in diameter. The plate is in good condition. There are however ... moresome flaws I could say are very minor age related crazing and several patches of discolouration I have several other interesting antique plates from the pottery and would significantly discount postage on multiple buys. Whilst I feel I hav e set a fair price for this piece based on its quality and condition. I am more than open to reasonable offers as I would love for it to find a nice new home. This is a vintage 1950's cabin ceiling light that I removed from the Captains cabin on the treasure hunting ship. Arctic Discoverer. The Arctic Discoverer was auctioned off in May, 2013 to a salvage company. I was fortunate enough to be able to collect some artifacts from this historic ship before it was sent to the scrap yard. The Arctic Discoverer is the ship that recovered tons of gold and artifacts from the"Ship of Gold" the SS Central America in 1988. The Arctic Discoverer has been featured on the History Channel on their show"History's Mysteries, Ship of Gold" It can also be seen in numerous pictures in the book"Americas Lost Treasure" by Tommy Thompson, the man who led the recovery expedition. Here for auction is ONE Cabella’s bent wood and sinew snowshoe. It measures a whopping 14 x 48 and is stamped that on the bottom. Marked Made In Canada. Has its binding on it. This appears to have been used and has its nicks and such to prove it. I have no idea as to its age but think that it is an older one. I list it as vintage. Nowadays they are made from lightweight aluminum. Now. There is only one so I guess this is for going around in circles. To go straight I believe that you need two, one for each foot. So this could be for hanging as in a display at your ski cabin, or again, for travelling in circles. Either way, it is a beautiful snowshoe and deserves a good home or wall. Hi. For sale an antique book Uncle Tom's Cabin by Mrs. H. Beecher Stowe. I am not sure if it is a first edition for the U.K. There is no date- The page reads- London James Nisbet& Co. Limited 21 Berners Street. I got the date 1890 from a book exactly like this that someone had listed so I am not positive of the date but I know the book is very old and it sounds about right. There is a embossed mark on the back of the first page that reads Library of David Holbrook and a signature on the front of the first page that I can not make out. The first two pages which are blank besides the signature and embossed mark are not attached. The rest of the pages are intact. There is some darkening around the edges of the pages(see picture. There is an illustration on the 3rd page(see pic) and it has a plastic cover that is not the original cover ... morebut was put there to preserve the book. The are a mother and daughter who are preparing a meal and a father and son seated at the hearth. The characters are 3 dimensional and very nicely detailed. The family cabin/house is also incredibly realistic. It has been"sliced" so that we are peering inside this diorama. The home is brick and stone with wood planked wall and ceiling. Even the fire and the cooking kettle have dimension. Again, all of these details are dimensional and beautifully executed. The scene have been replicated so that each side of the lamp has the family displayed. The lamp is a cast plaster/ceramic, and has been hand made. Wonderful circa 1870's early challis wool log cabin quilt top variation in excellent colors for the holidays. Perfect for holiday projects; stockings. Pillows, table runner/mats& a variety of folk art etc. The hues are primarily green& red with some black and pale old muted pale blue& sort of a neutral apricot. Lots of great old graphic appeal in this pattern. The challis wool is finer, not very thick so easy to work with and lays well. This is a top so will not have a backing or batting. This is a pretty nice vintage ships bell from a boat yard sale that's being sold as is. It measures 8" wide at the opening x 5" high. And has a nice strong ringing sound to it. It would look nice on an old boat again, or as patio yard art. It has a 2 foot chain attached to the clanger. It has a time-aged tarnished finish from exposure to the salt sea air& weather. Not sure of it's age, or what metal or alloy it's made from, but a magnet doesn't stick to anything except the chain. It might've been chrome over brass/bronze, but that's only a guess. For sale is a Hand Stitched Kentucky Made Log Cabin Quilt. I purchased this at an estate auction here in Hart Co. Ky. This was a large auction with over 900 registered bidders. They had lot of old quilts and and I purchased three of the best ones. This quilt is 74" long and is 64" wide and has a muslin cream backing. The back has a few small brown spots on the muslin backing. No Holes.No Odors,No Stains on the front. Very old feedsack cloth pieces on the front. Very close stitches and no Unstitched places. Very well made and very Heavy winter quilt. The log cabin is one of the most desired quilts and this quilt came from only about 15 miles for where Abe Lincoln was born in his log cabin. Mostly silk and'art silk' fancy fabrics, cotton foundation, hand pieced, hand embroidered. Good workmanship. Size 5 ft 6 1/2 inches by 4 feet 11 1/2 inches, blocks are in 8 x 9 set, no sashing, no batting. Fabric deterioration, will need stabilizing with replacement fabrics or fusible. No stains, back is black'art silk' spots are from shine on the photo. More neutral color scheme is unusual for this time period. This was purchased by or given to a family friend living in California and I am sure it was acquired there. From a pet free and smoke free home. Please ask questions.
