Collectible H&H Dual Fixture Push Button Light Switch One screw is missing as seen in picture. This switch is very different from others. It's constructed with a rotating brass paddle to operate two different fixtures from the same switch. It was most likely an early attempt to conserve space or materials. This is not a 3 way. Besides it being unique. It operates in a very odd way. If you were to enter the room with two lights off and push the button, it would turn on light A. If you were to hit the button that was now in the out position, it would turn off light A and turn on light B. If you were then to hit the button in the out position, it would turn on light A and leave light B on as well. And then if you were to hit it again, it would turn both off. Up for sale is an antique 3 Way Push Button Light Switch made by Cutter in great condition. I tested it and it does switch on and off properly. It is a 3-way switch. But if you dont need the 3 way it will work just fine as a regular switch. It has the right nice crisp snap when pushing the buttons, the buttons are nice and solid. It is stamped Cutter on the top of the switch and it is moulded into the back in the porcelain. This would be a great switch for your vintage house.

The top brass plate is Bryant and the mechanical switch portion is signed PERKINS. This high quality Perkins push button switch, would have been installed on the door of a closet or entrance door, so that when the door is open, it automatically turns on a light. It would have been a state of the art item at the time it was invented and made back in the early 1900's. I would imagine that very few homes, would have had such a unique luxury item as this. This is the only one like it that we have ever seen. It came out of a wonderful Victorian mansion in the Historic Old West end of Toledo, Ohio. The brass plate is signed BRYANT UND. LAB INSP. May just need a good cleaning and greasing, but in reality, any of these antique electrical devices shouldn't be used in modern day environments since they were only rated for 10 amp loads, the code in those days. Up for sale is an antique push button light switch made by H& H in great condition. I tested it and it does switch on and off properly. It has the right nice crisp snap when pushing the buttons. The buttons are nice and solid and do not have any wobble to them like some of the old worn out ones. It is stamped H& H on the top of the switch and it is moulded into the back in the porcelain.
