I plugged this motor in and flipped the switch and it started right up. 1750 RPM 1/12 H.P. Ceramic Switch Cloth Cord The motor is old and hums along with no issues. This would be a great motor to use on any type of attachment ... moreincluding rock saws. The grinder can be used for sharpening or grinding down wood or stone. When I saw this I was thinking of using it for carving rock. Because cabbing machines are limited when it comes to shaping more than just cabochons. The ceramic switch was an interesting find and it took me a few minutes to figure out how it worked. Pretty neat antique that still functions the way it was meant to. Tested& Guaranteed to Work and Ring This is an early Pre War 1941 Art-Deco metal Western Electric 302 telephone desk set. It has a rare volume ringer control switch in the base. The switch has three positions that change the position of one of the internal brass bells and reduces the ringing volume. This is a well marked with 1st Quarter 1941 dates and looks great. The network is marked I-41 which means 1st Quarter 1941 and the metal frame is marked 3-41 which means it was made in March 1941. The Ringer is dated 3/41 which means it was made in March 1941. This phone has early 41 style brass bells that have a beautiful rich tone. This phone has been powder ... morecoated gloss black and it has a beautiful rich shine. The handset is an F1W and is marked; WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY USA F1W The handset has a internal marking dating it in 1939. The transmitter element is marked 11- the year is not fully readable. The receiver unit is marked 12-5-40. The number 5 dial has been lightly oiled and is in very good shape. The finger wheel is polished and the number card holder is polished. The number card reads: Wait For Dial Tone The four foot pads are leather. The brown line and receiver cords are new but are cloth and made just like the originals. The line cord has a modular jack on the end. Just plug it into a stand wall outlet and you have a working phone. The new receiver cord is also brown and made like the originals. When the phone rings the matching 41A and 41B bells produce those rich clear tones. The metal body of the phone makes it heavier than the plastic version of this phone so it doesn’t move around on the table when dialing. Being over 55 years old it is not perfect, and there are some nicks here and there. There are some scratches on the pick guard, a few nicks in the body, but overall I think it is in great shape for a guitar of this age. One of the tone pots has lost the ability to adjust, and the pickup switches are touchy, and one of the ferrules for the tuners is missing. But you plug it in, turn on the amp and mess with them a bit and you will know right away you have a true early 60's Japan built guitar. When I plugged it into my old Peavey, I immediately went back to those days of true surf music with that classic sound. This piece part looks like it is brand new, but I am sure it is 50+ years of age at least. The leads are perfect with no chafing or broken sections worn. The price is right! Antique Edison 1889 General Electric Twist Wall Electric Light Switch
This antique rotating wall switch is marked EDISON GENERAL ELECTRIC CO NEW YORK U.S.A. PATENTED APRIL 2. 1889 20 LIGHTS. If you consider that Edison invented the light bulb in 1879, this item was patented only about 10 years later. It has a porcelain base. The housing and turn knob are brass. To take the cover off you twist the knob counterclockwise. The base is 2 7/8" in diameter and the entire unit sticks out 2 7/8" from the wall. It still clicks when you turn it clockwise. The contacts could use some cleaning. But it should still work. The brass housing has 2 age cracks that go partway up the sides. The porcelain base is chipped where the mounting screws go through on the side against the wall but you would still be able to fasten it down since it is thick at that point. Buyer pays shipping.
